A spending log you can actually keep up with. Open it, tap the amount, pick the account — done, in about three seconds, before you have put your wallet away. No bank to connect, no account to create, no setup wizard standing between you and the first entry. WHY THIS ONE STICKS Most budgeting apps are abandoned for the same reason: logging is a chore. So this one is built around a keypad instead of a form. The number pad opens first, the account you used last is already selected, and one tap files it. A Home-screen shortcut and a Siri shortcut jump straight to a new transaction, so it is two taps from a locked phone. It is a manual tracker, deliberately. It does not read your bank feed and it does not guess what you spent. You write it down, and in return you actually know where the money went. WHAT YOU CAN DO Log expenses, income and transfers Every entry is double-entry underneath — money always leaves one place and arrives in another — so your balances stay honest without you having to think about it. Keep accounts in different currencies Give each account its own currency. A card in dollars, cash in euros, savings in pounds: amounts are converted as you go and still add up to one balance you can trust. Budget by day, week, month or year Set a limit and watch what is left, not just what is gone. See where it actually went Charts by category, by account and over time, filtered to any date range — an answer in ten seconds, not a dashboard you have to study. Make it yours Name accounts what you call them, give each one an emoji and a colour, and hide the small change if round numbers are easier to read. PREMIUM Everything above is free. One unlock adds the things that save the most typing: • Scan a receipt instead of entering it — point the camera and the merchant, date, subtotal and total are read and filled in for you • Recurring transactions — rent, salary, subscriptions and loan payments log themselves, daily through annually • Category budgets — a separate limit for each category, not just one overall figure • Transaction notes — remember the "why" behind an entry Premium is available monthly, yearly, or as a one-time purchase that never expires. Family Sharing is enabled, so a single purchase covers your family group. PRIVACY No ads, and no account to create. Your transactions are kept on your device; the only thing sent to a server is a receipt you choose to scan, so that it can be read for you. Kharcha Diary is a simple, private, and powerful personal finance tracker built specifically for Nepali users. Whether you want to track your daily expenses or manage your monthly salary and investments, Kharcha Diary makes it effortless. No complicated setup, no account required, no internet needed — just open the app and start tracking. What is Kharcha Diary? Kharcha Diary is your personal digital khata — a smart notebook for your money. It helps you record every rupee you earn, spend, and invest. Over time, it gives you a clear picture of your financial habits so you can make better decisions and save more. Record Expenses, Income, and Investments Kharcha Diary supports three types of entries — expenses, income, and investments. Adding a record is quick and natural. Just type the amount and category, and Kharcha Diary does the rest. Add hashtags to organize entries and find spending patterns easily. The app remembers your recent tags and suggests them automatically as you type. Daily View and Navigation The home screen shows today's date in Bikram Sambat calendar. Navigate day by day using arrow buttons or pick any date using the built-in Nepali date picker. The bottom of the screen always shows today's total expense and this month's total — so you always know where you stand at a glance. Budget Alerts Set a monthly budget in settings. When your expenses reach 90% of your budget, a warning appears on the home screen reminding you to slow down. Simple and effective. Analysis and Insights The analysis screen gives you a complete financial overview. The yearly summary shows total earned, total spent, total invested, net savings, and average monthly expense. The monthly overview lets you select any month and see the same breakdown. Below that you will find tag analysis showing your top spending tags, top 5 individual expenses of the month, and a full spending breakdown with percentage share per entry sortable by amount, name, or percentage. Nepali Calendar Support Kharcha Diary is built for Nepali users with full Bikram Sambat support. Months display in Nepali names like Baisakh, Jestha, and Ashadh. The date picker uses the Nepali calendar so you never need to convert between AD and BS dates manually. Bilingual — English and Nepali Switch between English and Nepali language anytime from settings. When Nepali is selected, all text, numbers, and dates display in Nepali script and numerals. Fully accessible for users comfortable in either language. Export to Excel Export your records to an Excel (.xlsx) file anytime. Choose a custom date range and save the file directly to your device. The exported file includes date, category, amount, type, and tags. When Nepali language is selected, the file uses Nepali headers, dates, and numerals. Backup and Restore Create a full backup of your data as a .db file and save it to your device. Restore it anytime with a single tap. No cloud account required. Your backup stays completely on your device, private and under your control. 100% Private Kharcha Diary works completely offline. No internet connection. No data collection. No tracking. No ads.
