Tap two or more touching tiles of the same colour and they clear. Tiles above fall into the gap, empty columns close up, and — the part that changes everything — nothing ever refills. Every clear is permanent. Take the biggest group on the board and you might orphan the tiles around it, and an orphaned tile is stuck there for the rest of the round. MatchMint isn't about tapping fast. It's about the order you clear in. THE BOARD DRAINS No falling blocks. No endless refill. No timer counting down at you. The board you start with is the board you have, and your job is to empty it. SEE THE COST BEFORE YOU COMMIT Press and hold any group. You'll see what it scores and, more usefully, how many tiles it would strand. The obvious move and the right move are often not the same one. WIN, THEN PUSH FOR PERFECT Clear down to the round's goal and the win is banked — it can't be taken away. Everything after that is for stars. Leave a handful for two stars. Sweep the board completely for three and a bonus booster. EVERY BOARD IS BEATABLE A solver plays each board before you ever see it, and the round's goal is set from what it managed. You're never handed something impossible — and never handed something free. As you progress, the margin between the solver's line and yours narrows until you have to play nearly perfectly. WHEN YOU GET STUCK Undo takes back your last move, stranded tiles and all. Shuffle rearranges everything still on the board. Colour Blast clears an entire colour wherever it's stranded.
