Frame values still display against the 60 fps fighting-game standard so they're comparable across devices. Button labels match what's actually on your controller. Plug in a DualShock or DualSense and you'll see ×, ○, □, △. Plug in a Switch Pro Controller and you'll see A, B, X, Y in their real Nintendo positions. Xbox and generic pads stay with A, B, X, Y. No more squinting at "Button 12" wondering which physical button it maps to. Tested controllers include the PlayStation DualSense, DualSense Edge, and DualShock 4; the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller; the 8BitDo Ultimate (2.4G); and generic Xinput and Bluetooth gamepads.
