Stride helps you build healthier digital habits by linking your daily step goal to app access. Using step data from Apple Health and Appleβs Screen Time technology, Stride restricts selected apps until you complete your movement goal for the day. Instead of relying on willpower alone, Stride creates a simple structure: move first, then unlock your apps. How It Works β’ Set your daily step goal β’ Choose the apps you want to limit β’ Complete your steps β’ Selected apps become available once your goal is reached Stride uses Appleβs Screen Time APIs to apply app restrictions and Apple Health step data to track progress toward your goal. Features β’ App restriction based on step completion β’ Customizable daily step targets β’ Integration with Apple Health β’ Secure Screen Time management β’ Simple and focused design Stride does not collect or sell your health data. Step data is used solely to determine when your selected apps can become available. Permissions Required β’ Access to step data via Apple Health β’ Screen Time authorization to manage selected apps Stride requires these permissions to function properly. Steppy helps you turn daily movement into a simple habit. Connect Apple Health to see today's steps, progress toward your daily goal, weekly averages, lifetime totals, trends, and Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets. Add friends with a code, QR scan, or invite link. Compare daily progress, head-to-head history, recent trends, and the Global Top 5. Your health data stays under your control. When step sharing is on, accepted friends can see your shared step summary and your profile may appear in the signed-in Global Top 5. Turn sharing off at any time, report or block profiles, and delete your account and cloud data in Settings. HealthKit background delivery and widget refresh timing are managed by iOS, so updates are frequent when the system permits but not continuous or guaranteed. Steppy supports wellness and friendly motivation. It is not intended for diagnosis or treatment.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Steppy Step Tracker at none against Stride's 1. Steppy Step Tracker also leads on iOS requirement (18.6 vs 26.0). Stride's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
