About

CyanCamera App

Features

Your phone becomes a numbered camera on your CyanView gateway, shaded live from the same RCP your team already uses on every other camera in the show. CyanCamera is a broadcast camera, not a companion app. Once it appears on the gateway, your shader operates it from the panel exactly as they operate any of the 210+ camera models CyanView already controls. Same panel, same workflow, same look. REMOTE CONTROL FROM THE RCP ISO, shutter, exposure, white balance, focus and zoom all respond to the RCP over the REMI protocol. Switch between ultra-wide, wide and telephoto lenses from the panel without touching the phone. Camera numbering means the operator always knows which angle they are on. CAPTURE Record up to 4K60 in ProRes, ProRes RAW, H.264 or H.265, in Rec.709, P3, Rec.2020 HLG, Apple Log or Apple Log 2 on supported devices. Log capture holds the highlight and shadow detail you need when the grade happens downstream. Genlock locks the camera to house sync, so the feed cuts frame-accurately against every other source in the show. LIVE COLOR SHADING A GPU color engine runs entirely on the device. Lift, gamma and gain, master saturation and hue, and a full 16-vector multimatrix respond in real time as the shader moves the panel. Everything bakes into a 3D LUT, so what you see is what the feed carries. STUDIO LUT IMPORT Build a look in CyanView Studio or any grading suite, export it as a .cube, and load it as your base, whether that is a log conversion or a finished show look. It chains underneath the live grade, and ASC-CDL is supported for round-tripping with post. WAVEFORM AND VECTORSCOPE Broadcast scopes built in and running on the GPU. The waveform reads exposure and balance across the frame, while the vectorscope maps hue and saturation for confident skin tones and white balance. No external hardware required. STREAMING Send the feed over RTP for low-latency monitoring on the local network, SRT for reliable delivery across the internet, or WebRTC for playback in a browser. Bit rates run from 4 to 35 Mbps, with SRT encryption when the path is public. HDMI OUTPUT Route the feed to an external monitor, capture device or switcher through a USB-C adapter, with full camera control still running on the same device. WHERE IT FITS Extra angles a full-size camera cannot reach. Remote contributors working on location. Second-unit and behind-the-scenes coverage that still cuts cleanly against the main cameras. Low-cost expansion of a multi-camera setup without adding another rack. REQUIREMENTS Remote control and live shading require a CyanView RCP and gateway. Capture, on-device grading, scopes, streaming and HDMI output run standalone.

CamPlot is the plotting tool multicam directors actually think in. Place cameras, subjects, and lights on the real ground plan, see exactly what every lens covers, and hand your crew a live plot that updates the moment you change it. THE PLOT Drop cameras and subjects with a tap. Tag each camera with operator, camera type, lens, support, and shot type — your operator roster auto-fills them across every setup. Import the ground plan from your art director, scale it to real dimensions, and plot over the actual set. Organize a whole production as multiple setups in one project. REAL LENSES, REAL COVERAGE Set focal length in millimeters, toggle Full Frame and Super 35, and stretch the FOV cone to any distance with live frame-width readouts. Lock a camera onto a subject and it tracks as either one moves. Scale and measure real distances in feet and inches. A TRUE DIRECTOR'S VIEWFINDER Hold up your iPhone or iPad and see the shot through the real camera. Pick the body — Alexa, FX6, Komodo, Ronin 4D and more — swipe through your lens kit on an endless roll, and grade the image with true 3D LUTs — 200+ cinema looks plus your own .cube files, exportable for your camera's log. See the sun's path drawn over your framed shot for any date using your location and compass — golden-hour planning while you're still scouting. On Pro iPhones, a LiDAR measure mode reads the exact distance to your subject. Captures save silently to a CamPlot album in Photos and onto the camera in your plot. THE CALCULATORS — FREE WITH ANY ACCOUNT Five cinematographer's tools, unlocked at every level. Media: recording time on any card for dozens of real cameras and their actual formats. Depth of field: a live photographic preview you can pinch to reframe, with staggered subjects that fall out of focus. Sensor sizes: any sensors drawn to scale. Exposure: interlocking ISO, aperture, shutter, and ND dials that balance each other like a real camera. Sun and Moon: the day's light, shadow direction and shadow length at any location and date. MOVEMENT, JIBS, AND DOLLIES Plot camera and subject movement with multi-point paths, save a lens and facing per position, and hit play to watch your blocking come alive. Put a camera on a jib arm or dolly track and CamPlot keeps every move within what the rig can physically do. BUILT FOR THE CREW Share a link and the entire crew sees the plot live — free for viewers, no downloads. Give your AD full edit access with a session change log and one-tap undo. Crew keep private markup and notes on any shared plot without touching the original. Changed the plot an hour before rehearsal? Hit Notify and every crew member gets a push summarizing exactly what changed. READY FOR THE TRUCK Generate a complete camera report — tags, lenses, support, operators, shot types — with setup-to-setup changes highlighted automatically. Track inventory so you know the moment a plan calls for more gear than the truck carries. Export any setup as PDF or JPEG, or a whole project as a multi-page PDF. Every change saves to the cloud with rolling backups, and works offline — your changes sync the moment you're back on signal. ACCOUNT LEVELS CamPlot Crew is free forever: view shared plots live, camera and inventory reports, push notifications, and all five Calculators. CamPlot Plus adds private markup, PDF export, and the full Director's Viewfinder. CamPlot Max adds building and sharing your own plots, cloud storage, and live crew collaboration.
