Move Break reminds you to move for 5 minutes every hour โ a simple habit backed by science. Developed by Manoush Zomorodi alongside her book Body Electric, Move Break helps you break up long stretches of sitting with short bursts of movement throughout your day. Get a gentle notification, start a timer, and move however feels good. Need ideas? Turn on exercise suggestions and Move Break will recommend something for you. Track your progress over time โ see how many Move Breaks you've taken, how many minutes you've moved, and build a streak you can feel proud of. Want to contribute to something bigger? Opt into the Citizen Science experiment to help researchers study how regular movement breaks affect overall health and wellbeing. Five minutes. Every hour. That's it.

Sitting all day is silently hurting you. Move Reminder makes sure you never forget to get up. Set a recurring reminder on your schedule โ every 60, 90, or 120 minutes โ and the app fires a full-screen alarm with a movement suggestion so you actually know what to do when you stand. WHY MOVE REMINDER? Daily streak โ track how many consecutive days you moved. Don't break your chain. Movement prompts โ squats, shoulder rolls, desk push-ups, calf raises, and 16 more. A different tip every alarm so it never feels repetitive. Make it your own โ add your own exercises, remove ones you don't want, or reset to the 20 built-in defaults from the dedicated exercises screen. Weekly stats โ see exactly how many times you moved this week and your all-time best streak. Flexible scheduling โ set a window (e.g. 9 AMโ5 PM), pick your interval, and forget it. Works with any work schedule. Or use one-time mode for a single reminder. Snooze โ not quite ready? Delay 10 minutes with one tap. Runs in the background โ reminders fire even when the app is closed, with sound and a full-screen alert, just like an alarm clock. Custom alarm tones โ six synthesized tones, or set it to random for variety. Dark / light / system theme โ follows your device preference automatically. PERFECT FOR - Remote workers and anyone with a desk job - People with standing desks who forget to actually stand - Anyone trying to break sedentary habits without a fitness tracker No account required.
