Simple Moon Widget vs Moon Phase

The app shows a real photo of the moon in its current phase as well as the dates of the next full and new moon and today's moonrise and moonset for your location. Add a small widget to your home screen with just the current moon, or add a medium widget that also shows the times and dates. Light and dark mode follow your phone's setting. No unnecessary features, just a simple app that works.

Plan your nights around the moon. MoonPhase helps you follow the current moon phase, illumination, lunar age, moonrise, moonset, direction, distance, and upcoming lunar events in a clean dark interface designed for quick daily use. Open the Today screen to see the current phase at a glance, slide through upcoming days, and review precise details such as illumination percentage, lunar age, phase day, azimuth, distance, moonrise, and moonset. The Calendar tab gives you a month view of daily moon phases with realistic moon images. The Zodiac tab shows the Moon's transit through zodiac signs using moon longitude calculations and dedicated zodiac artwork. The Planner tab helps you prepare an observation plan with moon direction, altitude, visibility timing, next major phase details, and a polished shareable image card. MoonPhase can send local reminders for major moon phases, Supermoon, Solstice and Equinox events, Moonrise, Moonset, Sunrise, and Sunset based on your selected settings. Notification attachments can include the matching moon phase image. Widgets show the current phase, illumination, lunar age, next major phase, and upcoming days directly on the Home Screen or Lock Screen. Location is used only to calculate local sky details such as moonrise, moonset, azimuth, direction, and local timing. You can also choose a manual location on the map or reset to device location. If location access is not granted, MoonPhase uses New York as the default fallback location. MoonPhase does not require an account, does not include ads, does not use analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not run background location tracking. Lunar calculations are provided for planning and informational use; outdoor observation should always consider local weather, terrain, safety, and sky conditions.
