QuitScroll is the screen time app that doesn't sugarcoat it. System-level blocking, shame screens, and guilt-trip tasks for people who've tried everything else and still can't stop doomscrolling. NO GENTLE NUDGES. NO KIND REMINDERS. Most screen time apps show you a number and hope you care. QuitScroll makes you feel something. When you try to open a blocked app, you're hit with a brutal shame screen. There's a 10-second countdown if you want to unlock it - guilt-trip messages the entire time. If you crack, your streak resets to zero. Permanently logged. This is the strict app blocker for people who know they have a problem and want real consequences, not a virtual tree. KEY FEATURES - System-Level Blocking - Real iOS shields at the OS level. No workarounds. No cheating. - Shame Screens - Brutal messages when you try to open a blocked app. Time-of-day aware. - 10-Second Countdown - Try to unlock? Wait while it guilt-trips you. Every. Single. Time. - Streak Tracking - Consecutive clean days, displayed prominently. Breaking it hurts. - Daily Allowance - Set your limit. Watch the bar fill from green to red to "ZERO SELF-CONTROL." - Guilt-Trip Tasks - Your avoided tasks haunt every block screen. "Go build your app - or keep being a loser on Instagram." - Focus Schedule (Premium) — Auto-block during work hours, bedtime, or study time. - Weekly Analytics (Premium) - See your breach trends. Find out which days you're weakest. - Custom Shame Messages (Premium) - Write your own. Then get hit by them. Painful. Effective. - Commit to Block - Lock your settings for 1-4 hours. No undo, no excuses. Emergency unlock requires typing "I QUIT." FREE - Block up to 3 apps - Daily allowance tracking - Streak tracking - Default shame messages - 10-second unlock countdown PREMIUM - Unlimited app blocking - Custom shame messages - Auto-block when allowance exceeded - Weekly analytics + breach reports - Focus schedule - Guilt-trip tasks Not for everyone. But if gentle hasn't worked - maybe brutal will. Terms of Use: https://quitscroll.app/terms.html Privacy Policy: https://quitscroll.app/privacy.html

Tida is a task app built on one idea: put things in buckets, and the list stops being a wall. Capture whatever's on your mind into Inbox. Sort it into a bucket when you know where it belongs. Nest subtasks as deep as the job actually goes. Anything with a date shows up in Upcoming, in order, so you can see the week without hunting for it. That's the whole app. No sign-up. BUILT FOR IPAD Three panels on one screen: your buckets on the left, the bucket you open beside them, and the task you're working on in a third panel, without anything sliding away. Drag the dividers to the widths you like and they stay that way. On a narrower iPad there are two panels, and the task you open rises from the bottom as a band. Drag it taller when you want the detail and push it back down when you don't. Press and hold a bucket for a quick look inside without leaving where you are. Drag a task onto a bucket in the first panel to move it there. Paste an indented list and it arrives as a task with its subtasks. WHAT YOU GET FOR FREE • Inbox, Upcoming and a bucket of your own • Subtasks, nested as deep as you need • Upcoming, month and week views • Home screen widgets in three sizes • Reminders at the time you set • An app icon badge you can configure — choose what counts • Six themes, light and dark, cream or grey • Add tasks with Siri • Export everything to a file, any time WHAT PREMIUM ADDS $2.99 a month or $23.99 a year, with 7 days free. • Unlimited buckets — go beyond your Inbox and one free bucket • Calendar sync — your Apple, Google and subscribed ICS calendars, shown beside your tasks in Upcoming • Sync across devices — your buckets on your iPhone, iPad and Mac, kept in step through your own iCloud • iCloud backups — save a moment you can come back to before a big change, and restore it later YOUR TASKS ARE YOURS There is no Tida account and no Tida server. We never see your tasks. On the free plan, buckets and tasks stay on the device. With Premium they sync through your own iCloud, held by Apple under your Apple ID — not by us. We have no way to read any of it. No ads and no tracking. Tasks are never sent to Tida. Calendar access is read-only and optional. Tida never creates, edits or deletes anything in your calendar, and calendar information is never sent anywhere. SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS Tida Premium is $2.99 a month or $23.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings. Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: Tida Tasks at 5 against QuitScroll's 1. On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. QuitScroll sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Tida Tasks sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for QuitScroll against 5.0 for Tida Tasks. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tida Tasks has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
