About

reason

Choose which apps are a problem for you and Reason will block them. When you want to use them, you'll have to enter a reason and set yourself a time limit. Often you'll just close these apps instead of entering a reason, but even if you don't, your open app will be blocked once your time limit runs out. If you're struggling with screen addiction, this app is for you. If you find yourself opening apps for no apparent reason, we're on the case. If you open messages from friends and then get stuck doomscrolling, we've got you covered. It's a small moment of friction, but by pausing and stating your reason for opening distracting apps, you'll find yourself spending less time glued to your phone. About

Nagomi

Features

Nagomi is a flexible, reliable replacement for Apple's built-in Screen Time Downtime. Downtime lets you set one blocking period per day. Nagomi lets you describe your actual day: usable in the morning, blocked 9:00โ€“12:00, usable at lunch, blocked 13:00โ€“18:00, usable in the evening. Each period can block a different set of apps, and weekdays can have their own schedules. It works, and it proves it. Every scheduled boundary is recorded in an on-device log you can read and export. If a period didn't fire the way it should, Nagomi tells you. โ€ข Multiple blocking periods per day โ€ข A separate schedule for each weekday โ€ข A separate app selection per period โ€ข Periods that cross midnight โ€ข Strict Mode: a cooldown before a period can be weakened โ€ข A reliability log showing every boundary fired, with export Free: one schedule, applied every day, with the full reliability log. Pro: unlimited periods, per-weekday schedules, per-period app selection, and Strict Mode. Your Screen Time data never leaves your device. No account, no ads, no analytics: Nagomi collects nothing.
