ClefMastery vs FareGate

ClefMastery helps you build fluency in treble, bass, alto, and tenor clefs through quiz-style practice, scales, and arpeggios. Whether you’re a student, instrumentalist, or vocalist, you can strengthen note recognition and sight reading. Practice Your Way • Tap to answer: Choose the correct note name by tapping a button. • Play to answer: Use your instrument or voice; real-time pitch detection recognizes your notes! Scales & Arpeggios • Scales: Practice major, natural minor, harmonic minor, and melodic minor. Choose root note, direction (ascending, descending, or both), and octaves. • Arpeggios: Build custom chord lists with major, minor, diminished, augmented, and 7th chords. Pick root, quality, inversion, and direction. Chord labels on the staff show your progress through each pattern. • Scales and arpeggios require answering with your instrument or voice (no note buttons). All Four Clefs • Viola player? Cello player? No worries. We have alto and tenor clefs! • Practice treble, bass, alto, and tenor clefs separately or together in realistic scenarios. • Key signatures from the full Circle of Fifths are supported, so you learn correct spellings in any key. Built for Musicians • Instrument presets: Quickly choose from violin, cello, piano, voice, and other instruments to set your ranges. • Flexible settings: Instrument not in the presets? No worries. Just choose your note range and any transposition! • USB and external mics: Use your external audio interfaces with ease. • Pitch tolerance: Adjust sensitivity for fretless instruments and vibrato. You control how precise you have to be. • Audio hints: Optional reference tones when you’re stuck. • Intelligent sequencing: We plan the quiz intelligently to move around in pitch without making you do massive shifts on your instrument, yet still cover the full range. Stay Motivated • Badges will highlight when you reach milestones! • Stats: Track accuracy, problem notes, and progress over time. • iCloud sync: History, stats, and settings sync across your Apple devices (iPad, iPhone, and MacOS apps). FareGate locks the apps that eat your day behind your own Anki deck. Pick the apps to gate; iOS Screen Time keeps them shut; clear ten cards and you've earned fifteen minutes. The cards are yours — imported from your real collection, including decks made with AnKing or AnkiHub — and with a FareGate account and our open-source desktop bridge, your reviews sync back to Anki, so nothing you do here is wasted. Money never opens the gate: there are no paid skips, for anyone, and the emergency pass is always free. Finished your reviews for the day? The gate opens free, and we tell you so. The gate isn't a goal-checker that just confirms you studied somewhere else — the gate IS the study session, on the phone, right where you reach for the feed. • Your actual cards, rendered faithfully. Not a quiz clone — your own notes and templates, shown the way you expect. • The toll is cards, not dollars. Ten cards buys fifteen minutes. The toll is always reviews; there is never a paid skip. • Earn your minutes, then get on with your day. When time's up, the gate returns. • A fair toll, honestly built. An emergency pass is always free when you truly need through. No fake urgency, no dark patterns. You feel it work before you commit: your first gate opens in a practice run on a few built-in starter cards, before iOS ever asks for Screen Time permission. The practice run shows you the flow; it doesn't open a timed app session or touch your own cards. Import your Anki decks (.apkg). Built first for USMLE and med students already doing hundreds of reviews a day. FareGate Pro unlocks up to 50 gated apps, the Morning Gate, the Live Activity countdown and deep stats. • Monthly $4.99 / Annual $34.99, with a 7-day free trial. • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24h before the period ends; manage or cancel in your App Store account settings. • Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ • Privacy Policy: https://getfaregate.com/privacy Anki® is a registered trademark of Ankitects Pty Ltd.
