IntervalFree is the workout interval timer that's actually free. No paywalls. No ads. No tricks. Every feature is unlocked from day one — and stays that way forever. SET UP IN SECONDS Configure your action duration, break duration, and number of sets with intuitive scroll pickers. Tap Start and your profile is saved automatically. No account required. GO CUSTOM: BUILD ROUTINES BLOCK BY BLOCK Need more than one interval pattern in a session? Switch to Custom mode and build your routine block by block — a warm-up, a legs circuit, an abs finisher — each with its own action time, rest time, and number of rounds. Add a breather between blocks or keep it rolling; the whole session runs as one seamless timer. Prefer things simple? Simple mode hasn't changed at all. You'll never have to touch Custom, and everything you've already saved looks and behaves exactly as before. GLANCEABLE & MULTITASK-READY A large timer ring shows your remaining time at a glance—green for action, blue for break. With Live Activities, your progress stays visible right on your Lock Screen or Dynamic Island. Switch apps or lock your phone with confidence; the timer runs perfectly in the background. YOUR SOUND, YOUR PACE Choose from multiple Sound Themes to match your workout vibe. High-fidelity audio alerts keep you on pace even when your phone is in your pocket, and our smart audio handling ensures your music stays clear while the timer beeps. SAVE UNLIMITED WORKOUT PROFILES — NOW PROTECTED Create as many workout profiles as you need. Name each one, pick from 20+ activity icons (running, swimming, yoga, boxing, and more), and choose from 10 colors. Every profile is instantly recognizable in your workout library. Your saved presets are now protected: the settings can't be changed by accident — tap Edit first. Your edits are kept when you tap Save Preset, or when you start the workout. YOUR WORKOUT LIBRARY See how many times you've started and finished each workout. Tap any profile to load it instantly—no re-entering settings every time. Quick-start chips let you jump into your most-used routines in one tap. CELEBRATE EVERY WIN Every completed workout gets a celebration screen with your stats, a trumpet fanfare, and a fun animated surprise to keep you motivated. FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE • Custom mode: multi-block routines with per-block intervals • Protected presets: no more accidental overwrites • Background Support: Use other apps while you train • Live Activities: Real-time progress on your Lock Screen • Sound Themes: Multiple audio styles to choose from • Adjustable action and break durations (seconds to minutes) • 1 to 99 sets per workout • 20+ workout icons & 10 profile colors • Profiles auto-save on start WHY INTERVALFREE? We were tired of interval timer apps that lock basic features behind subscriptions. So we built one that gives you everything—for free. No premium tiers. No "free trial" that expires. No data sold to advertisers. IntervalFree is maintained by a small team who believes great tools should be free. If it becomes part of your routine, you can support us with a voluntary coffee—but there's absolutely no pressure. Perfect for HIIT, Tabata, circuit training, boxing rounds, stretching, meditation, or any activity that uses timed intervals. Requires iOS 17.0 or later. Works on iPhone and iPad.

A clean, practical workout timer for anyone who trains. Intervals, rounds and rest — set in seconds, and big enough to read from across the room. Ready-made timers for boxing, MMA, HIIT and yoga. Hundreds of workouts already written out. A log that fills itself. No ads. No account. EIGHT TIMERS FOR TIME: counts up, with an optional time cap. INTERVAL: work and rest, in as many sets as you like. EMOM: every minute on the minute, with a movement for each minute. AMRAP: as many rounds as possible, counting down. TABATA: 20 seconds on, 10 off, 8 rounds, all adjustable. DEATH BY: one more rep every minute, until you can't. FIGHT GONE BAD: stations, work and rest, set by set. STOPWATCH: a plain clock, counting up. BUILD YOUR OWN, AND KEEP IT Every timer has its own page. Set the rounds, the work and the rest, name the movements, and press START. Save the ones you come back to and they are waiting on the home screen — and on your watch. READY-MADE, BY SPORT Boxing and MMA rounds on the bell. HIIT and Tabata ratios. Yoga holds with the transitions between them. Open one and press play; there is nothing to set up. THE WORKOUTS, WRITTEN OUT Sixty classic benchmarks — The Girls and The Heroes, from Fran and Cindy to Murph — with their time caps and movements already in. Thirty more for Halloween and twenty set on South Beach. Pick one and run it. BUILT TO BE READ ACROSS THE ROOM The screen fills with the time, the phase and the movement by name, inside a glowing aura that changes colour as work turns to rest. Light or dark, whichever you prefer. Turn the phone on its side and it splits in two: the clock on one half, the round on the other. CUES YOU CAN HEAR Beeps on 3-2-1 into every interval, a long tone into work, a lower one into rest, and a triple at the end. They mix with your music instead of turning it down, and they keep going when the screen locks — on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. A LOG THAT FILLS ITSELF Every workout you finish lands in your log, on a month calendar. Nothing to write down, nothing scored, no streak to keep up. Swipe a row to tick it off or delete it. Your history syncs through your own iCloud, and finished workouts can be saved to Apple Health. ON EVERY SCREEN YOU OWN iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, with the same timers and the same log on each. Connect a TV by cable or AirPlay and the clock fills the big screen while your phone keeps the controls. PRIVACY No ads and no tracking. Anonymous usage statistics show us which timers get used, and they cannot identify you. Your workout history stays in your own iCloud, which we cannot read. EVERYTHING INCLUDED Every timer, every workout, the log, iCloud sync and Apple Health are included. There is an optional tip in Settings, and it unlocks nothing. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: IntervalFree at none against ENYO Timer's 1. IntervalFree also leads on ratings volume (23 vs 1). ENYO Timer's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, review sentiment, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. ENYO Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. IntervalFree asks for nothing beyond the download.
ENYO Timer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IntervalFree has 23 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
IntervalFree ships an update every 2 months, ENYO Timer every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
