DOCREADER — READ PDFS & EPUBS, LISTEN OFFLINE, KEEP YOUR LIBRARY LOCAL DocReader is a full-featured reader for study, work, and leisure: open PDFs and EPUBs from your device, resume where you stopped, and switch to read-aloud with highlighting when your eyes need a rest. Reading and listening with system or offline voices is free—no account needed. READ-ALOUD & VOICES Start, pause, or stop from the toolbar; highlighting follows speech where content supports it. Skip chosen headings or lines in manuals and reference EPUBs. • System TTS: built-in voices, no download. • Kokoro offline voices (Sherpa ONNX): natural speech from an optional pack, synthesized on-device. • Supertonic: an optional pack for very fast on-device speech—great for long documents and cooler phones. Adjust rate and speaker, or keep the screen awake during playback. READING COMFORT Light, dark, or system theme, with a PDF dark mode tuned for legibility. Set default PDF and EPUB scale (fit page, fit width, and more) and scroll speed. In-document panels keep theme, fonts, and voice settings a tap away. LIBRARY & FORMATS Recent documents with timestamps on the home screen. Open files through the system picker, and DocReader remembers your last page or section. Beyond PDF and EPUB, open Markdown, text, logs, subtitles, JSON, CSV, source code, HTML, and common images. SCANNED PDFS / OCR When a PDF has no text layer, on-device OCR recovers text for reading and read-aloud, without sending page images to a cloud OCR service. PROJECT GUTENBERG Browse and download public-domain titles when online; they join your library for offline reading and listening. DOCREADER PREMIUM (OPTIONAL SUBSCRIPTION) Everything above is free.
