A metronome can keep time for you. Ghost Beat helps you learn to keep it yourself. Ghost Beat alternates between audible clicks and silent bars, giving you room to feel the tempo on your own. When the click comes back, you can hear how well you held it. Use it for drum practice, warm-ups, or working through a tricky rhythm. PRACTICE WITH AND WITHOUT THE CLICK Choose your tempo, time signature, subdivisions, and accents. Set how many bars play and how many stay silent, or use Random Mute to make individual beats disappear. Add spoken counts alongside the click and adjust their volumes separately. BUILD A PRACTICE HABIT Set a daily goal and follow your progress through the day. See your recent practice history, streaks, and weekly totals. Optional on-device detection can count your playing even when you don't need the metronome. Detection requires Ghost Beat to be open and active. START HANDS-FREE Use Start on Sound to begin without reaching for the screen. Calibrate microphone sensitivity for your room and playing, and choose whether silence should stop the metronome automatically. MAKE YOUR OWN ROUTINES Chain exercises with their own tempos, ghost patterns, and time signatures. Choose timed or bar-based steps, loop your routine, and save presets for setups you use often. Free tempo ladders help you work toward a target speed. CHECK YOUR TIMING Tap along in Tap Accuracy mode to see how consistently you land on the beat. Timing grades and deviation measurements give you something concrete to work on next time. PICK UP ON ANOTHER DEVICE Optional private iCloud sync keeps your routines, presets, practice history, daily goal, and saved notes together across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. You don't need a separate Ghost Beat account. FREE TO START The free app includes ghost bars, Random Mute, tempo ladders, daily goals, recent practice stats, up to 4 routines with 6 steps each, and 3 presets. GHOST BEAT PRO A one-time in-app purchase unlocks unlimited routines, routine steps, and presets, plus adjustable click pitch, progressive fade, extended practice statistics, and notes for your routines and presets. No subscription. YOUR PLAYING STAYS YOURS Microphone audio is analyzed live on your device. It is never recorded or uploaded. There are no ads. Most metronomes just count. RhythmForge listens back. Play along to the beat and the app hears you in real time. Every hit is measured, every drift is shown, every session tells you exactly where your timing is strong and where it's not. Your phone becomes a practice coach. HOW IT WORKS Pick a challenge. Set your tempo. Play. RhythmForge scores every beat across six accuracy tiers — Perfect, Great, Good, Okay, Weak, Missed. Build combos with consecutive Perfects for bonus points. Beat your personal best. See exactly where you rushed or dragged. 63 built-in challenges spanning rudiments (singles, doubles, paradiddles, rolls, gallops), grooves, world rhythms (tresillo, son clave, rumba, cáscara, mozambique, bossa nova, samba, baião, bembé), compound and odd meters, and odd subdivisions. From first-week beginner to serious drummer. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT • Real-time onset detection — the app hears your strokes and scores them instantly • Six-tier accuracy grading based on millisecond timing • Combo multipliers and personal-best tracking that make practice addictive • Rushing / dragging analysis per session — know your tendencies • Timing precision scatter plot and beat distribution charts • Per-device latency calibration that auto-corrects AirPods drift • Works with drum pads, snare, hand percussion, claves, djembe • 20–360 BPM, all standard subdivisions, accents • Hold the tempo to type it, tap it, or slide a ruler • True dark-first design, optimized for OLED FREE FOREVER • Full metronome — every subdivision, tempo ramp, ghost measures • Every click sound • Unlimited free practice with live timing feedback • Assist: playing a different part than the click? If it slips for two bars, the click steps back and your notes play until you're back on track. Those bars stay out of your accuracy • Every analysis screen, unblurred — distribution, precision, rushing and dragging • Every challenge in the library, playable. Nothing is locked • 6 minutes of challenge time a day, spent on whatever you choose • Your last 7 sessions No challenge is behind the subscription. What's metered is time: 6 minutes a day, topping back up as the day goes — four times faster while you're practicing. Run out and any challenge still gives you a free 25-second run, as many as you like. Tempo ramp and ghost measures are premium features in competing apps. Here they're free, forever. The metronome you'd pay for, included.
