Haptic Messenger

Haptic is a small messaging app for the people you actually want to be in touch with. Instead of just text, you send tactile patterns. Short vibration sequences your friend feels on their phone the moment you send them. A heartbeat. Maybe three quick taps to say "thinking of you." Or a long press to say "I'm here." Words can do a lot, but sometimes a touch says it better. You can also tap freely to send a rhythm exactly as you played it, and your friend feels the same rhythm back. Take your time with it. Tap, listen to it, start over, and send it only when it says what you meant. In the thread it stays drawn as the rhythm you actually tapped, so you can see the shape of a message before you feel it. Each conversation has Message mode for async chat and Live mode for being there together. Free-tap a vibe in the moment, or share a touch surface that follows your finger as you move. Long-press a friend's message to squeeze it back. A small hug they can feel later. When they're online, you'll see it. When they're in the chat with you, you'll feel it. Haptic is built around three ideas: • Small. We don't run ads, we don't show stories, we don't have a feed. There's a list of your conversations. That's the whole app. • Personal. Over time, you and a friend will build your own vocabulary. The patterns and rhythms that mean something only to the two of you. Three quick taps in the morning. A long press before bed. None of it is a feature. It's just what happens when you talk in touch. • Yours. Sign in with Apple, change your display name, pick a color and a typeface, follow your phone's appearance or lock it light or dark, and control optional analytics and training collection with per-purpose toggles. Delete your account from Settings whenever you want. Haptic uses Sign in with Apple. There is no separate username or password. To send messages you'll add a contact by sharing or accepting an invite link. Haptic Communications, PBC is a Delaware Public Benefit Corporation. Questions or feedback: support@tryhaptic.com.

Far away, still close by. The shortest way to reach you. ppip is a voice messenger where every friend hangs on your wall as their own receiver. Reach them with your voice, with a number the way pagers used to work — or with a text straight out of the flip-phone days. ■ The receiver is how they are right now Hanging on the wall means LIVE — your voice plays on their phone the moment you send it. Nothing to tap, no app to open. It just arrives, as if you were standing right next to them. Taken down means voicemail — voices wait quietly and play together when they put the receiver back. One glance at the wall tells you who is there and whether now is a good time. ■ Send just a number, like a pager Step into the payphone and punch in 8282, or 1004. When you can't say a word out loud, a number still gets through. It scrolls across the little screen on their wall, and what it means is between the two of you. ■ No read receipts, no typing indicators All that's left is a voice, and which way the receiver is facing. Nothing nags for an answer, so you say what you meant to say and you each listen when it suits you. ■ Five seconds is plenty Some things are too small for a phone call and too warm for a text. Keep it short and the voice still arrives with all its warmth. (ppip+ gives you 30 seconds.) ■ One room, everyone at once Send to a group and it reaches everyone in the room at the same time — like an announcement over the building speakers, without any warning. ■ 숳 — for the things you couldn't tell anyone Leave a voice or a few words without your name, and the people listening to the same story gather beside you as little pixel people. The cheers they tap fly over from each of them and pile up, and the words they leave float above their heads and walk along with them. Posts disappear after 24 hours. Bamboo 숳 — I couldn't tell anyone, but I hope someone listens Let-Go 숳 — While it rains, let's agree to do nothing Today I'm the Star Forest — Celebrating the small, dazzling moments Lonely Island Forest — I want to be alone, but I don't want to be lonely Campfire Forest — A way to say goodbye to what kept hurting me Moon Jar Forest — Because the heart needs a quiet place to keep things, too Money Rain Suh — Get struck — by a downpour of money You can make your own 숳, too. Pick a background photo, a receiver, reactions, sounds and a subtitle — or open it as a private 숳 that only your friends can enter. ■ Retro Texts Flip-phone-era texts, text art, even number codes. Lay a grainy old-webcam photo behind it and send. Texts get a voice too — have it read in a recommended voice or your own, and it plays the moment it arrives. Texts you receive show up on your lock screen and widget, photo and all. ■ You decide how people reach you Stay live for a few hours. Go quiet on its own at night. Let voices through even on silent. Record a voicemail greeting in your own voice — and set all of it friend by friend. ■ Right from the lock screen Voices play straight out of the notification. A home screen widget puts your receiver up or takes it down, and a pager on your lock screen holds the numbers you've been sent. ■ A wall that looks like you Pick the material and color of your receiver, add stickers and photos, choose your wall color and your message window skin. The receiver your friends see is the one you made.
