Why Mixer exists The problem I realized I have a lot of friends I just never make plans with. Not because I don’t want to — but because: they’re not in a group chat I don’t think to text them or it just feels like effort to reach out And I don’t think I’m the only one. Making plans right now kind of sucks: You only hang out with the same people in the same group chats One person replies in a group chat of 15 You don’t know who to invite You don’t want to invite too many people You wait around for replies Plans die in the chat No one wants to be the one organizing You overthink it and end up doing nothing Real situations this fixes Something spontaneous You want to go to the golf range after work. You’re not going to text 20 people just to find 1–2 who are down. So you either don’t go, or go alone. Now you just post it — whoever’s in joins. Mixing different groups You have friends from different parts of your life that would get along. But they’re not in the same group chat, so it never happens.
