Stridemind turns every walk into a brain workout for sharper thinking, better balance, and fall prevention. Most brain-training apps keep you on a screen. Walking is great for your body but often leaves your mind underchallenged. Stridemind is built to change that by combining both, bringing brain training into your daily walk so one simple habit strengthens both body and mind. You can even keep your own podcast, audiobook or music. Every few minutes, Stridemind pauses your podcast or audiobook, or lowers your music, for a short thinking task. When the task is done, your audio comes back by itself. Your phone stays in your pocket the whole time. Designed for adults 55+, Stridemind is powered by dual-task training, a method supported by over 30 randomized controlled trials. By training your brain and body to work together, it helps support healthier aging with sharper cognition, improved balance, and reduced fall risk. HOW IT WORKS With your own audio: Press play in the app you already use, start your walk in Stridemind, and put your phone away. You might count backwards, name words from a category or picture an everyday scene. Each task lasts about a minute, and the next one waits if you stop walking. You can choose how often tasks arrive in Settings. With a guided stride: Choose a stride, and a calm voice guides you through number sequences, word challenges, and mental switching exercises as you walk. Stridemind can tell whether something is playing, so it knows when to wait for you. It can't tell what you are listening to. THE SCIENCE OF FALL PREVENTION Dual-task cognitive-motor training is one of the most researched approaches to reducing falls in older adults. Published studies show this type of training can reduce falls by up to 17.8% and improve balance by up to 76.6% in adults over 65. Stridemind brings this research-backed method into your everyday routine with no gym or equipment required. MORE THAN BALANCE: TRAIN YOUR MEMORY Stridemind also targets working memory, one of the most important systems for maintaining cognitive health. The ability to hold and process multiple pieces of information supports both movement and mental sharpness. This type of training is associated with some of the strongest benefits seen in cognitive research. The in-app Science page explains the evidence in clear, simple language. YOUR PROGRESS A short monthly check-in evaluates how well your focus holds while you move, then tracks your progress over time. Results are presented clearly and are never graded, just an honest reflection of where you are. THREE INTENSITY LEVELS Guided strides come in three levels. Light: Gentle challenges for a comfortable pace Moderate: A balanced cognitive and physical workout Intense: High-demand tasks for experienced users WHAT YOU GET Walks with your own podcast, audiobook or music Guided audio sessions with a calm voice A wide range of cognitive challenges including numbers, words, and task switching Working memory training designed for long-term brain health Monthly check-ins with clear progress tracking Session history to monitor consistency Ongoing insights based on current brain and movement research SUBSCRIPTION Stridemind Premium unlocks every walk with your own audio and the full stride library.
