Navigation lights and day shapes is the hardest topic on every skipper exam. Minimum 50 configurations to recognise, from any bearing, under time pressure. Most sailors try to cram it from a textbook the night before. It doesn't work. Sailor's Deck is built specifically for this. Flashcards with spaced repetition — the study method proven to build lasting visual memory — sequenced across four layers from basic light identification through to full composite scenarios. The app tracks what you know, resurfaces what you don't, and keeps drilling the configurations you keep getting wrong until they stick. HOW IT WORKS Each session presents set of cards drawn from your personal review queue. Answer correctly and the card moves to a longer review interval. Answer wrong and it comes back sooner. Get a category badly wrong and the relevant COLREGS rule is shown on the spot. The four-layer progression matches the way your exam actually tests you: — Layer 1: Base lights — masthead, sidelights, sternlight — Layer 2: Status lights — what the vessel is doing — Layer 3: Day shapes — cone, ball, cylinder, diamond — Layer 4: Composite scenarios — full patterns from specific bearings Confusion pairs are built in. Miss a RAM card and the NUC card is queued immediately behind it. Miss a trawling vessel and the purse-seine card follows. The pairs most likely to lose you marks on the exam are pre-wired into the system. 100+ CARDS. ALMOST EVERY CONFIGURATION. Power-driven vessels, sailing vessels, vessels not under command, restricted in ability to manoeuvre, constrained by draught, pilot vessels, mine clearance, dredgers, air-cushion vessels, fishing vessels trawling and not trawling, vessels at anchor, towing and pushing — plus all COLREGS day shapes. Every card reviewed by a qualified sailing instructor. WORKS FOR YOUR ASSOCIATION Select your certification on first launch and the app uses your association's terminology throughout: — RYA Day Skipper / Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster — IYT Bareboat / Coastal / Master of Yachts — ISSA Inshore / Offshore — ASA 104 / 106 One card library. Your language. NO ACCOUNT. NO INTERNET. NO NONSENSE. Everything runs offline. Progress is saved locally. No login, no subscription, no ads. Free — permanently, with no card limit and no time limit on the entry skipper deck. DAILY STREAK + PROGRESS TRACKING A daily streak keeps you coming back in the weeks before your exam. Per-category accuracy shows exactly where your weak spots are. Session summaries flag the COLREGS rules you need to read. Study on the boat. Study on the bus. Five minutes before bed. The exam is closer than you think.

Power System Lab brings marine electrical learning, hands-on simulations and practical tools to cadets, electro-technical officers and anyone studying shipboard electrical systems on iPhone and iPad. Explore your learning island: follow explanations and activities, try virtual instruments and track your route. Change circuit parameters on virtual benches and compare the results. Investigate your training ship. Inspect marked components, collect findings and choose diagnostic actions. Work through repair and verification stages, explore equipment and prepare the vessel for a voyage. Four games bring variety to your practice: • Knowledge Tower: drop containers from a crane, keep the stack balanced and collect short facts. Compare your best runs in weekly and all-time player standings. There are no cash prizes. • Name the equipment: 250 photographs covering 45 types of equipment, components and tools. Choose one of four answers, learn its purpose, zoom into the image and revisit mistakes. Progress syncs with your account. • Match-three: component combinations, electrical effects and short facts about electricity and marine systems. • Crosswords: marine and electrical terms, new ports and grid zoom. Russian and English puzzles keep separate saved letters and progress. Keep useful tools within reach: electrical calculations, 4–20 mA signal scaling, Pt100/Pt1000, resistor markings, Modbus register conversion and more. Search, save favorites and check formulas. Set up clocks for your ship, home and ports. English and Russian interface. Native layouts adapt to iPad rotation. Choose a character and uniform, adjust effects and animations, or study with gentle surf and distant gulls. There are no ads. The tower leaderboard lets you hide another player or report their name. All users need a subscription for the main features after sign-in. If Apple confirms introductory-offer eligibility, either plan starts with 3 free days. You must confirm the subscription through Apple immediately; registration alone does not start a trial. Only one introductory offer is available per Apple Account for the subscription group. Switching plans or creating another Power System Lab account does not provide another trial. If ineligible, the paid period starts immediately. After the trial, the subscription automatically renews at US$4.99 per month or US$39.99 per year in the US storefront unless canceled in time. Both plans provide the same access; the year is charged upfront. Apple shows your localized price and terms before confirmation. To avoid the first charge, cancel through Apple at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Remaining free days after cancellation are not guaranteed. Internet is needed for sign-in, subscription verification, new learning actions and sync. In iOS, calculations and clocks run locally after access is verified; their settings and favorites sync when connected. The subscription also covers the website for the same account. Purchases are made only through Apple inside iOS; there is no separate web payment. Restore Purchases, subscription management, support, legal documents and account deletion remain available without a purchase. Restore with the original Apple Account and Power System Lab account. Deleting the app or account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Apple handles refunds; mandatory consumer rights are preserved. For independent study. The app does not replace formal training, equipment documentation or vessel procedures and does not provide professional certification.
