What Remove RAW does • Scans your Photos library and identifies assets that contain RAW resources • RAW + JPEG / HEIF: keeps the JPEG / HEIF image and removes the RAW file • RAW only: converts the RAW file to HEIF using Apple CIRAWFilter (10-bit, iOS 15+) • Preserves important metadata such as creation date and GPS location Why you need it If you shoot in RAW, every photo can include a 25-50 MB RAW original. Most RAW files are never opened again after editing, but they can quietly take up tens of gigabytes in your Photos library.
