Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: Litterbox at Free against EV Dashboard's $12.99. Litterbox also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 87%). EV Dashboard's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.2) and chart position (#74 vs unranked). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Litterbox is free to download; EV Dashboard costs $12.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

EV Dashboard holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EV Dashboard has 65 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 87% of EV Dashboard's written reviews are positive against 100% of Litterbox's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

EV Dashboard ships an update every 3 weeks, Litterbox weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
