Check the map preview and share the route as a KML file containing one open line. COORDINATES AND FIELD RECORDING • View latitude, longitude, altitude and location accuracy. • Work with WGS84, ITRF96, ED50, NAD83, ETRS89, UTM, TM and Web Mercator coordinate options. • Keep frequently used coordinate systems in your favorites. • Save, edit and search points; record points automatically at distance or time intervals. FILES, MAPS AND TARGET GUIDANCE • Import CSV, KML and KMZ; share points as CSV or KML. • Display KML/KMZ lines and polygons on the map. • Use map basemaps and imported offline MBTiles files. • Use stakeout and camera-based AR guidance toward selected points. • Follow the active target with Live Activity on compatible devices. • View GPS speed, selected geoid/elevation services and bathymetry information when available. About

Compass Triangulation

Features

Find a position on the map from nothing but compass bearings. Compass Triangulation is a resection tool: take two or more magnetic compass bearings from known observation points toward the same distant object, and the app calculates where that object is, with a confidence rating and an uncertainty radius, not just a single guessed point. It's built for search and rescue teams, land surveyors, wildland firefighters, hunters, and anyone who needs to turn "I saw it from here, at this heading" into coordinates. FREE FEATURES • Unlimited bearings. • Add a bearing by typing it in, capturing it live from GPS and the device compass, or importing one shared by QR code or link. • Automatic intersection: with two or more non-parallel bearings, the app computes the averaged intersection point, a confidence rating based on the crossing angle, and an estimated uncertainty radius. • UTM and MGRS coordinates, alongside latitude and longitude. • Nearest-address lookup for the computed point. • QR code and link sharing, including magnetic declination, so the same bearings resolve to the same point on another device. • JSON export and import, full backup and restore to a file you control. • Manual magnetic declination, street and satellite maps. • Shared links open straight in the app. PRO, A ONE-TIME PURCHASE • GPX export: your bearings and computed location for Garmin devices, Gaia GPS, CalTopo, QGIS and other tools. • Saved session library. • PDF field report: the map with all bearing lines and the intersection, a table of every bearing with magnetic and true headings, coordinates in three formats, the confidence rating, the uncertainty radius and the nearest address. • Live magnetic declination from a geomagnetic model, updated as you move. • Civil Air Patrol (CAP) search grid overlay. • Offline maps: draw the area you'll work in and download it before you lose signal, with a size estimate first. • Keep the screen awake while you triangulate. No subscription: you're not paying rent on a tool you may use twice a year in a real emergency and constantly in training. Available in English, Español, Français, Deutsch, Português, Italiano, 日本語, 한국어.
