CoreShift is a sleek, minimalist strategy game based on Neutron — a classic abstract board game of pure skill, positioning, and tactics. Easy to learn. Deep to master. Every move can open a path, create a trap, or turn the match completely. No randomness. No hidden information. Pure strategy. THE GAME Play on a 5×5 grid. Each player controls five pieces, while a single amber token — the Neutron — begins at the center. On every turn, you must: 1. Slide the Neutron as far as it can move. 2. Slide one of your own pieces (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal). Pieces move until blocked by the edge or another piece — they cannot jump. How to win: * Move the Neutron onto your own baseline. * Trap your opponent so they have no legal Neutron move. QUICK OR CLASSIC * Quick mode: Fast, aggressive openings with immediate tension. * Classic mode: Traditional rules where the first player skips the opening Neutron move for a more balanced start. THREE AI DIFFICULTY LEVELS * Easy: Learn the fundamentals. * Medium: Strong tactical play. * Hard: Advanced Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS) AI that adapts to every position. ONLINE MULTIPLAYER — BETA Play real-time matches worldwide through Game Center. Our Elo rating system (starting at 1200) ensures you always face a fair challenge. * Climb the Ranks: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. * Social: Add friends after matches, send instant rematches, and react with quick chat. * No Waiting: If no live opponent is available, Skynet — our built-in AI — keeps the match moving. TOURNAMENT MODE Five rounds. One run. No breaks. Easy → Medium → Medium → Hard → Hard Win all five to complete the challenge and track your progress on Game Center. STATISTICS & ACHIEVEMENTS Track win rates, streaks, fastest victories, and total play time. Unlock badges and Game Center achievements tied to real milestones. DESIGNED FOR iOS * Flat, minimal design with Dark and Light mode. * Smooth animations and haptic feedback on every move. * Atmospheric audio and satisfying "game feel." CoreShift is free to play. Tournament rounds 3–5 and Hard AI require a one-time Pro upgrade ($3.99).
Roll Fighter
Read full descriptionHide full description
Two fighters. One die each. The higher roll wins the round — the loser pays the difference in HP. That is the whole rule. Everything else is how you bend it. ROLL, THEN OUTPLAY Every round you can spend Luck to load the odds, or cash it in for a skill: • FREEZE — your opponent is stuck with last round's die • CURSE — block a face so they cannot roll it • ORACLE — call their number and they take extra damage • POTION — heal 6 HP mid-fight Roll the same number twice in a row for COMBO (double damage), three times for ULTI (triple). THE TABLE KEEPS CHANGING Every three rounds a modifier flips the fight: NO ODD, NO EVEN, DOUBLE DAMAGE, REVERSE (the low roll wins) and LUCKY x2. Each match also draws its own rule — a banned face, a face that burns whoever rolls it, a face that doubles damage. Run out of rounds and SUDDEN DEATH drains both fighters until one falls. PLAY WITH FRIENDS — UP TO SIX Create a room, share the link, and everyone lands in the same arena. In a six-player arena every fighter rolls at once: the top roll hits everyone else for the difference, ties split the table, and skills can be aimed at any seat. Last fighter standing takes it. CLIMB Quick Match to warm up. Ranked Match for rank points, from Snake Eyes to Apex V. Weekly seasons end with leaderboard rewards. Unlock APEX at 1400 RP for tougher rules and bigger swings. UPGRADE AND COLLECT Spend gold on permanent upgrades — a bigger HP pool, a wider luck bar, extra healing — and on dice skins from Ancient Ivory to Neon Circuit. FREE TO PLAY The whole game is free. Watch an optional rewarded ad for gold, finish daily quests, or buy a gold pack if you want to move faster. Gold is only used inside the game and has no cash value. No account needed — the game starts instantly. Sign in with Apple only if you want your progress to survive a new device.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: CoreShift at none against Roll Fighter's shown. CoreShift also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Roll Fighter's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
