Bay to Breakers vs SoleGather

The Bay to Breakers app is for race day tracking to receive turn-by-turn instructions and for your friends and family to track your progress in real-time.

Running is better together. Solegather is a community platform built for runners who want more than a tracking app — it's where you find your people. Discover local group runs, RSVP with a tap, and turn casual meetups into lasting running friendships. Find Your Next Run Browse a live map and calendar of group runs happening near you. See pace, distance, route, and who's going before you commit. RSVP Made Simple Going, Maybe, or Can't Make It — respond honestly and see who else is in. No guessing who'll show up. Run the Route Before You Run It Every meetup includes an interactive elevation profile and route map, so you know exactly what you're signing up for — hills and all. Real Connections, Not Just Contacts Send connection requests to runners you meet, message them directly, and keep a running group chat alive between meetups. Your privacy stays in your control — you decide what's visible and to whom. Your Running Story Build a public profile that tracks the meetups you've attended, the runs you've hosted, and the miles you've logged with your community — as much or as little as you want to share. Support the Community Donate directly to the running clubs and causes that keep local groups thriving. Whether you're training for a race, chasing a new PR, or just want to run with people who show up week after week, Solegather helps you find your crew — one meetup at a time.
