Finger Gong is a real-time gong synthesizer that responds to your touch. Every sound is built from scratch — fourteen oscillators per voice, detuned and coupled so harmonics bloom, beat, and slowly fade. Tap to strike. Hold and drag to rub with a friction mallet. The gong begins to sing, harmonics building and shifting as you move. Speed, direction, and pressure all shape the voice. SEE THE SOUND A 2D wave simulation ripples across the surface with every strike. Switch to Chladni mode and watch thousands of sand particles settle into real nodal patterns — the same physics Ernst Chladni revealed two centuries ago. BLISS MODE Curated sound environments for meditation, relaxation, and healing. Each preset tunes the gong to a specific shape, alloy, pitch, and sustain — voiced for calm. 5 gong shapes — Chau, Bao, Bell, Wind, and Bowl 5 alloys — Bronze, Brass, Nickel Silver, Blisserite, and Thankium 6 pitches — pentatonic scale for melodic exploration 4 sizes — from a 14-inch hand gong to a 50-inch concert gong 5 mallets — from bright wooden sticks to soft friction pads FRICTION MALLETS Hold and drag very slowly. The gong begins to sing as harmonics couple and build — lush, evolving textures that shift as you move. Each mallet has its own grip and character. IMMERSION MODE Long-press Zen to hide everything. Just you, the gong, and darkness. Record your sessions. Three skins. Waveform, spectrogram, and harmonic visualizers.

About

Fork the Tuning Fork

Features

Fork is a tuning fork that listens. Strike it — tap the fork, shake your phone, or knock on the body — and it rings with the long, pure decay of real brass, a haptic pulse in your hand. Then let it listen: Fork hears your instrument and shows the note, with cents deviation on an engraved scale whose brass needle settles like a balance beam. Fork knows what pitch has meant across five centuries. Tune to modern concert pitch, or to A=415 as baroque players do, 432, 442 for orchestras, 444. Choose equal temperament — or just intonation and Pythagorean tuning, with every interval derived from the historical ratios. Strike the fork in any temperament and hear the difference, or tune by the beats between the ringing fork and your instrument: the method musicians used for three hundred years. No accounts. No ads. No noise. A tuning fork, a sheet of paper, and everything a fork should know. — Strike by tap, shake, or knock; haptic feedback; natural brass decay — Listen mode: live note and cents readout from your instrument — Any chromatic note, octaves 2–6 — Reference pitches: A = 415, 432, 440, 442, 444 — Temperaments: equal, just intonation, Pythagorean — with selectable tonic — Designed for iPhone and iPad Fecit Audio — small instruments, made properly.
