Muniment vs ITEMS 2

A vault for your stuff. Muniment keeps every receipt, warranty, and manual you own — quietly, on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Point your camera at a receipt; the product, price, retailer, and warranty length are read and filed in seconds. No typing. No folders. No shoebox. If you've been looking for the app that remembered your appliance's model number, your warranty's end date, and the manual you'll never read until something breaks — this is that app, rebuilt. Appliances, electronics, tools, furniture, watches, bikes. Anything with a serial number and a story. Scan. Kept. Reminded. A nudge arrives 30, 14 and 7 days before any warranty ends — early enough to renew, return, or claim while you still can. Never a nag. — When it matters If your home is ever damaged, stolen from, or lost, an insurance adjuster will ask for proof. Receipts. Serial numbers. Purchase dates. Photographs. Muniment exports a complete, dated, photo-attached record as PDF or CSV in seconds — the format adjusters and FAIR Plan claimants actually accept. The work you do calmly today is the file you hand over on the worst day. — Built for people who buy things that last A watch you'll hand down. A camera you'll sell in five years. ITEMS 2 – the new generation of your personal asset tracker ITEMS 2 is a completely redesigned new generation of the ITEMS app, which we have been developing for several years. It does far more than the original app, it is faster and friendlier – and above all, it needs no account and no server. All your data stays on your phone, under your control. You no longer have to remember what you own, where it is, who you lent it to and when the warranty expires. With ITEMS 2 it is recorded and always at hand. What's new compared to the original ITEMS: - No account, no server: nothing is sent anywhere and the app works offline. - Sharing with family via iCloud Drive: share your whole inventory or just a part of it (say, the cottage) with one or more people. You can even allow them to edit – their changes are merged automatically and the app notifies you. - Stocktaking: walk around, tick off what you found and save a PDF report. The history of stocktakings stays in the app. - QR labels: print labels for your locations, scan them and instantly see what is where. - Maintenance reminders and alerts for expiring warranties or loans – as notifications and directly in the app. - Duplicate check with merging of items. - Bulk changes with confirmation: move or re-categorize many items at once. - Backups: a complete backup including photos in a single file, restore or merge with another backup, CSV export and import for Excel. - Custom fields (text, number, date), tags, PDF attachments (receipts, warranty cards), unlimited photos per item. - Prices in any currency, filter by currency, totals of your assets' value. - Fast scroller, four view modes, 12 sort orders, saved filters, full-text search ignoring accents, Spotlight search. - Dark mode, app lock (Face ID / Touch ID), 7 languages, full iPad support with a two-column layout. The proven foundations remain: - Easy to use: creating a new item takes a few seconds. - Universal structure: your own categories and subcategories, locations and sublocations, lists of owners and users, custom item statuses. - Item status: you know whether an item is in its place, lent or borrowed – nothing gets lost. - History: every item shows what has happened to it. Appropriate uses: IT equipment, electronics, household items, art collections, tools, books, clothes, sports gear, cottage or company equipment. Free and Premium: For free you manage up to 50 items with backups and alerts. A one-time Premium purchase (no subscription) unlocks unlimited items, custom fields, PDF attachments, CSV export and app lock.
