The blood-level charts, reminders, and full protocol tracking are free. No trial, no paywall, no catch. Most peptide and TRT apps charge for exactly this. I don't. Frontload is built for people running serious peptide and TRT/HRT protocols. Track every injection, watch your blood levels rise and fall between doses, keep every vial and dose organized, and never miss a shot. The AI coach reads your own labs, protocols, and injection history, and it's built to say "I don't know" instead of guessing. The coach and Cloud Backup are the paid part. WHAT'S FREE (and stays free) • Progress photos with a voice guide that lines up every shot the same way, then compare any two side by side. Your photos stay on your phone. • Blood-level PK chart: peak, trough, and steady-state, per compound • Injection logging with site rotation • Full inventory: every peptide, HRT compound, GLP-1 (semaglutide, tirzepatide), supplement, and med • Phased protocols with automatic on/off scheduling • Titration schedules: gradual dose adjustments over weeks, auto-stepping • Lab result tracking and trend charts • Macro logging • Sleep, fitness, weight, and food sync from Apple Health • Reminders and notifications • Light and dark mode • JSON export, anytime No account needed. Your health data lives on your phone unless you turn on Cloud Backup, and I never sell it. The app sends a few basic signals, like which version you're on and whether it was opened today, so I can find and fix bugs. Never what you log, and never what you ask the coach. THE AI COACH (Pro) Not a chatbot. Not a correlation engine. An actual coach with direct access to your full health context (labs, protocols, peptide stack, GLP-1 doses, nutrition, sleep, fitness, side effects), plus a curated knowledge base of peptide and HRT references. It reads a lab PDF, scans a supplement label, analyzes a side-effect cluster, and explains it in plain language. Grounded in your own data, not the internet's. Pro adds unlimited AI coach conversations with photo attachments, unlimited lab PDF parsing, unlimited nutrition and supplement-label scans, Cloud Backup, and Frontload on your computer at app.frontloadapp.com. Cloud Backup and the web app are for paid plans, not the free trial. The price for your region shows in the app before you subscribe. WHO BUILT THIS Frontload is a one-person project. I'm in the HRT and peptide community myself, and I wanted a tracker that didn't feel cold and clinical, so I built the one I wanted, with every feature I needed. I had my wife test it the whole way through, so it isn't built only for the guys. She told me what women actually need in a tool like this: cycle-aware tracking, the right hormone panels, and a tracker that doesn't assume everyone's a man on TRT. It's all in here. I gave it to one friend, hoping to help him. He gave it to another. That's how Frontload has gotten everywhere it's gotten so far. No ads. No growth team. The mission isn't to get rich. It's to cover the cost of running the app and build something genuinely useful to people on their HRT and peptide journeys. The AI Coach engages with compounds, doses, and protocols directly, but it's not a doctor. Always discuss any protocol change with your prescribing physician. https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

Peptrend draws the trend line under your weigh-ins. Body weight swings several pounds a day on water, food, and salt. A single reading is a noisy sample of a slow-moving signal, so Peptrend fits a smoothed line through your data and shows what is happening underneath it. THE TREND Choose how the line gets drawn: exponentially weighted moving average, the Hacker's Diet filter, a Kalman filter, Hull, DEMA and TEMA, rolling median, Kaufman's efficiency ratio, and more. Swipe between methods and watch the same weigh-ins redraw. Import your history from Apple Health or enter readings by hand. DOSES Log GLP-1 doses, injected or oral, and see an estimate of how much is still circulating based on that medication's half-life. Oral tablets are modeled with their own absorption, so a 14 mg tablet is not charted as 14 mg in your bloodstream. Moving to a different medication, or taking two at once? Each one keeps its own half-life and its own line on the chart. Log vials, reconstitution, injection-site rotation, and titration over time. GOAL PROGRESS Set a target weight and a date, or a steady weekly rate. A waterfall chart breaks progress down week by week, colored by the dose you were taking, so the weeks that moved are easy to tell apart from the ones that did not. ATHLETE MODE If you train, switch on Athlete Mode and a new tab charts what your watch already records in Apple Health: VO2 max, heart rate variability, resting and walking heart rate, cardio recovery, blood oxygen, exercise minutes and more. Each line is colored by the dose you were taking, so you can see the two side by side. Peptrend reads those numbers and never writes to them, and it does not claim that one causes the other. PRIVACY No account, no analytics, no advertising, no network calls. Weigh-ins live on your device and in your own private iCloud database, which we cannot read. The privacy manifest declares no collected data and no tracking. PEPTREND PRO Logging your weight and doses is free, and stays free. Pro adds the full set of trend methods, projections, energy-deficit estimates, the goal waterfall, and Athlete Mode. Seven days free, then $12.99 per month, $69.99 per year, or $99.99 once. Peptrend is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition, and it does not provide medical advice. Circulating-dose figures are estimates derived from published half-lives, not measurements of your blood. Decisions about your treatment belong with your prescriber. Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Frontload at 60 against Peptrend's 2. Frontload also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Frontload sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Peptrend sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Frontload against 5.0 for Peptrend. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Frontload has 60 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Frontload ships an update every 5 days, Peptrend every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
