THE WHOLE SCREEN IS THE SIGNAL Set the phone on the treadmill or against the rack. You can read the countdown from across the room. Warm orange means work, cold blue means rest, and green means you are done. The screen never sleeps while a workout runs. SOUND ALONE IS ENOUGH Put the phone in your pocket and let the sound run the session. Five seconds before the start it counts you in, long enough to put the phone away. Two rising tones warn you a phase is nearly over. At the change itself, four beats: three, two, one, now. ALONGSIDE YOUR MUSIC The signal arrives alongside what you are listening to, not instead of it. HIITimer does not turn your music down, and does not pause it. You still hear the signal through the music, and you decide how loud: three levels, or silence. WORKS WITH YOUR TRAINING APP HIITimer does not measure heart rate. It is a timer, and it stays out of the way of the app that does. On the phone they run side by side: your music, the app reading your heart rate monitor, and the intervals in HIITimer. You choose whether HIITimer saves the workout to Health, so the same session is not logged twice. LEAVE THE PHONE BEHIND The Apple Watch app runs the session on its own, with your music if you want it. It is not just a remote control for the phone. You feel the countdown to every phase change on your wrist, arm down, so you never have to look. The Digital Crown sets how loud the signal is while you train, and the session lands in Health when you finish. You build the workout on the phone. Requires watchOS 11 and Pro. THE WATCH RUNS ONE WORKOUT AT A TIME Apple Watch allows a single workout session at a time, and during a HIITimer session that one is HIITimer's. It is why the sound and the taps land on time, even with the screen dark and your arm down. If you want another app on the watch to record the same session, run HIITimer from the phone instead. Or do both: HIITimer and music on the Apple Watch, your sports watch on the other wrist. IT KEEPS RUNNING WITH THE SCREEN LOCKED Plenty of timers go quiet the moment you lock the phone. This one runs to the last interval. The Lock Screen and Dynamic Island show time remaining, progress, and a color map of the whole session. READY IN SECONDS Set a work time, a rest time and a number of intervals. The app opens with sensible ones already in. Adjust them in five-second steps. Everything sits on one screen, and Start is always in view without scrolling. Tabata and 4×4 are ready to go. Pro opens EMOM, 30/30, 40/20 and multi-set versions. OR BUILD THE WORKOUT YOURSELF With Pro, every interval gets its own length. Give the shortest and longest effort, and the step between them, then choose up-and-down or one way. For a shape it cannot make that way, fill in each effort by hand, with its own rest. Three advanced presets come ready: 1-2-3-4-3-2-1, 5-4-3-2-1 and 60-45-30-15 × 3. YOU CAN TRAIN FOR FREE Work time, rest time and up to ten intervals in a single set, with the Tabata and 4×4 presets. If you want more sets, you start the next one yourself when the rest is over. No ads, no account, and nothing leaves your phone. It works with no signal at all, in 16 languages. PRO • Up to 99 intervals in a single set • Up to 20 sets, with rest between them you set • Advanced workouts: pyramids, ladders and circuits • Every preset, and save your own by name • The standalone Apple Watch app • A session report for your training log: one line with the shape of the workout, its duration, perceived exertion and training load, ready to paste Pro is a one-time purchase.
