Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: FolioSpace Reader at 5.0 against BookOrbit's 4.3. FolioSpace Reader also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 66%) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). BookOrbit's advantage is ratings volume (33 vs 1) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FolioSpace Reader sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and BookOrbit sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
