About

Talk Node

Features

TalkNode is a communication board for people who cannot speak — after a stroke, with aphasia, dementia or ALS, for autistic children, or for a few days in hospital. Tap a picture card and the phone says the sentence out loud. TalkNode speaks 10 languages: English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French, Arabic, Russian, Portuguese, Italian and Dutch. The buttons, the ready-made cards and the voice all change together. READY FROM THE FIRST MINUTE • A short setup plays the voice first, so you know the phone can talk before anything else. • Three starting boards: an adult cared for at home, a child, or a hospital stay. • Cards for water, food, toilet, pain, medicine, feelings, yes / no and more. MADE TO BE USED EVERY DAY • Big, colourful cards with clear pictures. • "Might need next" suggests the cards you usually tap after this one. • Type to speak, for anything that is not on a card. • Listener mode shows the message in huge letters and flips it to face the person you are talking to. • Choose a female or male voice and the speaking speed. FOR CAREGIVERS • Make your own cards with your own words, a symbol or a photo. • Reorder, edit or remove cards; your cards are never overwritten. • A caregiver area protected by a 4-digit PIN, so nothing changes by accident. • Medicine reminders. SOS One tap opens your messaging app with a ready-written emergency message to your emergency contacts, including a map link if you allow location. TalkNode never sends anything by itself. PRIVATE BY DESIGN TalkNode has no account, needs no internet connection and sends no data off your device. Cards, photos and usage stay on your phone.
