AirSampler turns your iPhone into a pocket sample crate for music makers. Record ideas, instruments, vocals, street sounds, cafe noise, airport textures, car rides, and anything else that sparks a track. Your takes are saved as WAV files with waveform previews, favorites, rename tools, quick edits, clean up, key and tempo hints, and chop markers. Use AirSampler by itself as a fast recorder and local sample library. When you are near your Mac, pair with AirSampler Bridge over your local network to sync your samples into your studio workflow. The Mac Bridge keeps your sample folder updated, and the AirSampler AU plugin can browse those synced files inside your DAW so you can drag them directly into your project. Core features: - Record WAV samples on iPhone - Preview and organize your takes - Rename and favorite samples - Edit start, end, fades, normalize, and clean up - Detect tempo and musical key when possible - Create chop points from transients - Start a quick recording from the Home Screen widget - Pair and sync locally with AirSampler Bridge for Mac No account, no cloud library, no advertising trackers.

Degenson is a raw virtual analog drum machine built for distorted percussion, hypnotic sequences and aggressive sound design. Six voices, dual LFOs and fast hands-on control for techno, EBM and experimental production. Now it's also an AUv3 plugin: run Degenson inside your favorite iOS host — GarageBand, AUM, Cubasis, Drambo and more — perfectly in sync with your project tempo. • Six punchy virtual-analog voices with analogue-style decay — percussive across most of the knob, opening into an infinite drone at the top • Full MIDI: notes trigger the voices, every knob responds to a fixed MIDI CC, and the sequencer can be bypassed to play live from any controller • Melodic mode: each octave maps the six voices and transposes them, so you can play the drums tuned across the keyboard • Fast, tactile step sequencer with per-step control and dual LFOs for evolving, hypnotic patterns • Crunch Verb: a gritty master reverb with Mix, Decay and Crunch — the tail degrades as it fades Free to play. The optional Pro upgrade unlocks the AUv3 plugin for use in your DAW and WAV export for bouncing your patterns.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: AirSampler at none against Degenson's 1. Degenson's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price and ads there is nothing between them.
