Skylight is a weather app for people who want to know how much to trust the forecast — not just what it says. Every number tells you where it came from. Radar frames are labeled observed or forecast, never blurred together. Storm risk says it is reading forecast instability, not detected lightning. A trip three weeks out is answered by the climate record, and says so, instead of pretending to be a forecast. Where a provider has no data, Skylight shows you nothing rather than a confident zero. On iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. One purchase covers all three. INCLUDED FREE • Current conditions — temperature, feels like, humidity, UV, wind, visibility • Tap any figure for a 24-hour chart graded against the real scale • Hourly forecast with precipitation chances, and a 5-day outlook • Rain and snow alerts — before it starts, and when it stops • Severe weather alerts from the National Weather Service • Tides — high and low water at the nearest NOAA station (US and territories) • Storm risk — thunderstorm instability, stated honestly • Snow — expected accumulation, not just a percentage • Tropics — active systems from the National Hurricane Center • Sun and moon — sunrise, sunset, phase and illumination • Explain my forecast — a plain-language read from Apple Intelligence, on your device • Share the forecast as an image worth sending • Home Screen widgets, Apple Watch app and complications • Siri Shortcuts and a Control Center radar button SKYLIGHT ULTRA — $19.99, ONCE One purchase. No subscription, no renewal, no second paywall. • Animated precipitation radar on a live map, with observed and forecast frames labeled separately • Map layers — temperature, wind, gusts, humidity, pressure and cloud • Saved places — keep as many cities as you like, side by side • Trips — weather where you are going, answered by a real forecast when the dates are close enough and by the climate record when they are not • Time Travel — what the weather actually did on any date back to 1940 • Full 10-day forecast • Air Quality Index from EPA AirNow ground monitors, with health guidance • Skylight Brief — a written read on what actually matters next • Live Activities — watch rain approach on your Lock Screen • Leave by — dry-corridor timing for your commute • Golden hour and activity windows — the good light, before it happens • Theme packs and a customizable Home screen WHERE THE DATA COMES FROM Forecasts come from Apple Weather, with Open-Meteo — drawing on the ECMWF, GFS and ICON models — as a fallback where Apple has no coverage. Air quality comes from the EPA's AirNow monitor network. Tides and hurricane tracking come from NOAA. Historical weather is reanalysis of the global climate record, which is a reconstruction rather than a reading taken in your garden, and Skylight says so where it matters. Skylight Brief is composed from the forecast by rules, so the same conditions always produce the same words. Explain my forecast uses Apple Intelligence on your device — nothing is sent to a server, and it is held to the facts Skylight gives it. No account. No ads. No tracking. Your location is used to fetch weather and is never stored or sold.

Built for runners, cyclists, walkers, golfers, beach days, trail time, work crews, and anyone who plans around lightning, heat, wind, air quality, and rain. Core features: • Clear "go / wait" style outdoor risk guidance • 48-hour hourly risk strip, shown as bars or dots • Lightning-aware storm risk • Heat, air quality, wind, UV, rain, and snow context • National Weather Service alert awareness • Current-location planning, plus one saved place • Home Screen widgets and Apple Watch support • Built-in explanations of what's driving each hour's risk Storm Window Pro adds: • Multiple saved locations • Activity-specific risk profiles (runner, cyclist, golfer, and more) • Custom activity profiles • Personal heat and AQI sensitivity tuning • Full hourly detail on tap • Driest-stretch highlight within your safe window • Per-location widgets and complications Storm Window Pro+ adds: • Trips: pin an upcoming event and get its own safe-window forecast and alerts • "Should I Go?" activity-aware guidance • Forecast change reviews and 48-hour forecast summaries • Apple Intelligence-powered risk explanations on supported devices — all features work without it Storm Window uses deterministic risk rules for its core safety assessment. Pro+ guidance does not replace the underlying risk rating. Storm Window is forecast guidance, not a guarantee of safe conditions. Weather can change quickly. When thunder roars, go indoors.
