You've studied. Now speak. Nora is a language learning app you talk to: an AI tutor who answers in both languages, corrects you inside the conversation and remembers what you got wrong. Learn Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Spanish, French, Italian, German or Swedish by speaking from your first day. SPEAK FROM YOUR FIRST DAY Pick "New to the language" and Nora leads one step at a time. Lesson journeys for your level, like Tokyo Survival Basics, teach three phrases, let you rehearse them, then send you to use them on someone in a real place, like ordering at a café in Tokyo. CONVERSATION PRACTICE THAT FEELS LIKE A FRIEND Type or talk. Nora mixes your language and the one you are learning in one sentence, with a native accent in each, and corrects you inside her reply or briefly afterwards, as you prefer. Roleplay a café, a hotel, a date, or describe any situation. No quizzes, no pressure: a conversation at your pace. NORA REMEMBERS YOU Your level, your goals, your interests and your actual mistakes, with your own sentences as evidence. Weak spots come back in later conversations until you get them right, and you can see, edit or delete everything she remembers. LIVE VOICE CALLS Call Nora for real speaking practice. Interrupt her, ask her to slow down or use more English, and she keeps up. A live transcript shows both sides. VOCABULARY AND FLASHCARDS THAT WRITE THEMSELVES Tap any word for its dictionary entry in Japanese, Korean and Chinese, with furigana, romaji and pinyin, or a translation in the other languages, and save it in one tap. Saved words, lesson phrases and corrected mistakes become spaced-repetition flashcards, and due words come back in your next conversation. STORIES YOU PLAY BY TALKING Like a visual novel: painted worlds, voiced characters, and what you say moves each scene forward. Your choices decide which scenes you land in and how the story ends. YOUR TUTOR, YOUR WAY Talk with Nora, or with Min-jun, Sofia, Takeshi, Emma and Carlos as tutors or as friends. Or build your own: name, voice, formality, personality, and the same memory of you. Set your level, how much English she mixes in, whether she corrects in the flow or points it out, and her talking speed. Say "slower" or "only Japanese" mid-conversation and she keeps to it. SEE YOUR SPEAKING GROW Speaking time, streak, words kept and a heatmap of your days, with daily and weekly goals and badges along the way. EIGHT LANGUAGES, ONE ACCOUNT Japanese learning with furigana and a dictionary that understands conjugated verbs. Korean learning with lookups that find the dictionary form. Chinese with pinyin. Spanish, French, Italian and German conversation practice for travel, work or family. Swedish for life in Sweden. Made by a team in Stockholm. More than 10,000 learners in 52 countries have practiced with Nora. Nora Pro is an auto-renewing subscription.
