Urban Gallery turns your city into an open-air art gallery. It maps the public art — sculptures, murals, installations, monuments — across 30,000+ cities in 200+ countries: more than half a million works, wherever you go. Every piece tells you what it is, who made it, and how to walk there. The gallery is free to browse and free to walk — tours stick to art you can visit without a ticket. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Browse a live map of public art — your city and beyond. Zoom out to see neighboring cities as dots, then dive in to explore. • Filter by type — sculpture, mural, installation, monument — or search by artist or title. • Sort nearby pieces by real distance from where you're standing. • Tap any piece for the artist, year, materials, and a description. Where Wikimedia Commons has a photo, we show it with credit; otherwise "See photos" runs an image search. • Build a curated walking tour from where you are. Pick a duration, a starting point, and the kinds of art you want — the tour fits the time you have. • Save tours, mark them as walked, and revisit them later. BECOME A PATRON One person builds Urban Gallery. The free tier shows a small banner ad; the Patron pass clears the ads and lets you add pieces to the gallery from the field — a fresh photo, your phone's location, a few details, and it's on the map for everyone. Patron is an auto-renewing subscription at $4.99/month or $39.99/year; the first 100 annual Patrons get a Founding rate for year one. Renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. WHY WE MADE IT Most public art lives in scattered city datasets, OpenStreetMap tags, and museum archives. No one had pulled it together into something you can use while walking around. Urban Gallery is the "do" tool we wanted — not another museum app. The city is already the museum. WHERE THE DATA COMES FROM Each city's gallery is assembled from open-data portals where they exist, OpenStreetMap contributors worldwide, and photographs from Wikimedia Commons via Wikidata. Sources are credited per city in the app's Settings. PRIVACY The app works without an account — optional sign-in just lets you save tours across devices. Free-tier ads are served by Google AdMob and use tracking only if you allow it when iOS asks. Full privacy policy at backroomstrategies.com/urban-gallery/privacy. Street Artwork turns every city into an open-air gallery. Open the map: thousands of geolocated artworks appear around you. Graffiti, murals, paste-ups, stickers, mosaics — spotted, photographed and kept up to date by a community of enthusiasts. MADE FOR THE STREET, NOT THE SOFA • The map comes first: zoom into your neighbourhood or a city you are visiting, then walk. • More than 600 cities, ranked by how much art they hold, each with its own map. • Directions to any artwork in one tap, in the maps app you already use. • Every time you open the app, what is new near you since your last visit. A MAP THAT TELLS THE TRUTH Street art fades, gets painted over, disappears. Here you can report a work you could not find: after a second report it carries a warning for everyone. And when it is still there, say that too. Nobody should cross town for an empty wall. YOUR FIELD NOTEBOOK • In front of the wall, "I saw it" in one tap: the work is filed with the date, then shows up with an eye on the map and in every list. • Keep the artworks and artists you love in one place. • Earn badges as your finds add up, follow your progress to the next tier, and hunt down the secret badges. • Climb the hunters' leaderboard, this year or all time. YOUR INVASION Hunting Invader's mosaics? See your board city by city, with your points and the pieces you still have to find. Import your log by pasting your codes, or let the app read a video of your gallery. THE ARTISTS Profiles, biographies, works from around the world and a map for each artist. Artists can claim their own page and keep it themselves. CONTRIBUTE Photograph a work: the app reads its location, you add the title and the artist. A few screens and it is done. You can also offer a better photo of a work already on the map. HUNTER PREMIUM Follow artists and cities to hear about every new piece. Take a whole city offline before you leave. Get alerted when a work you have not seen yet comes within 150 metres while you walk. Import your Invader collection from a video of your gallery. And browse with no ads. Free, worldwide. The map grows with the community: every photo you add shows someone else a work they would have walked past.
