PREMIUM — PURCHASE REQUIRED: All features described below are part of Pro and require a purchase: a weekly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Pour Over Coffee Timer walks you through every phase of a pour-over brew — bloom, pulse pours and drawdown — with the exact water grams and timing for each step. Pick V60, Kalita Wave, Chemex or AeroPress, press start, and pour when the ring tells you to. Every recipe uses the coffee-to-water ratio each brewer's manufacturer actually publishes — 1:16.7 for Hario V60, 1:16 for Kalita Wave and Chemex, 1:13.5 for the inverted AeroPress — stated as ratios so they scale honestly to any dose. And the app is straight with you about what a timer can and cannot fix: the built-in brew guide names the six variables that really move the cup (grind size, water temperature, bean freshness, filter, agitation, altitude) and gives you a calibrate-once procedure instead of pretending one schedule suits every bean. WHAT YOU GET • A brew that runs itself: each phase shows its target grams and a pour hint, taps a countdown haptic in the last 3 seconds so you can lift the kettle without looking, and cues you the moment the next pour starts • Manufacturer-accurate recipes for Hario V60, Kalita Wave, Chemex and AeroPress — published ratios, not guesses • Scale any recipe to your dose: set 22 g instead of 15 g and every pour target moves with the ratio, while phase times honestly stay put — brew time is set by grind, not dose • Build your own pour schedules step by step: bloom length, pulse count, grams per pour • A brew log that records what actually happened — beans, water, how long the timer really ran, your star rating and tasting notes • A timer you cannot break: the screen stays awake mid-pour, the brew keeps running if you leave the screen, and a notification still fires with your phone face-down next to the scale PERFECT FOR • Home brewers who want Tuesday's V60 to taste like Saturday's • Anyone who just bought a gooseneck kettle and a scale and needs to know what to actually do with them • AeroPress owners who want the inverted method timed instead of guessed • Coffee people dialing in a new bag and keeping notes on what worked WHY NOT JUST USE A KITCHEN TIMER? A kitchen timer tells you when three minutes are up. It does not tell you that at 0:30 the bloom ends and 60 g of water should already be in the bed, or that a Chemex drawdown needs a full extra minute. Pour-over is a schedule of pours, not one countdown — this app runs the schedule for you. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Your brew log lives on your device. No account, no ads, no tracking, and nothing leaves your phone. PREMIUM (PURCHASE REQUIRED) Full access unlocks the complete recipe set (Kalita Wave, Chemex and AeroPress), the custom recipe builder and the dose scaler. Pick the plan that suits you: a weekly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Grind your beans, tap start, and pour the best cup you've made all week — today. Record one or several whole bottles at once in the milk library. For larger cartons, log partial use, finish the remaining milk, and undo the current action. Inventory, costs and reminders remain free. Pro enables editing protein, fat, lactose and lactose-hydrolysis details; saved details remain readable after a downgrade. New milk inventory: track products, cartons, individual bottles, opening times, use, losses and stock corrections. Optional local reminders distinguish packaging guidance, personal deadlines and conservative defaults; they do not certify food safety. Mark beans finished, keep their history and reactivate them. Pro's bean workbench adds method grouping, favorites filtering, two-cup comparison and quick repeat as a new draft. Free retains manual logging and ordinary history within existing limits. Free espresso prediction uses standard 1:2; other styles and ratios require Pro. Existing recipes and records are preserved when Pro ends. Saving a new brew now adds a rough composition estimate to the coffee calendar. Undo or delete personal intake without deleting the brew. Selecting a historical brew in the Pro calculator does not add intake unless you save it. The Pro calculator now gives rough caffeine and cafestol values for valid supported recipes, with explicit assumptions and ranges. These are model estimates, not measurements or medical advice; actual values may differ substantially. YanMore Grind brings adaptive grind calibration and a coffee notebook into one practical tool. BAYESIAN CALIBRATION The recommendation workflow combines a Bayesian learning model with equipment, bean and recipe context. Eligible brew observations help inform the next adjustment. See a suggested setting, the direction and size of the change, its reasoning and the strength of the available evidence. Stepped, stepless and dual-mode settings retain their own adjustment semantics. MORE THAN ESPRESSO Supported methods include espresso, pour-over, moka pot, French press, AeroPress, drip, cold brew and siphon. Espresso basket profiles describe resistance and geometry without being applied to other brew methods. YOUR COFFEE NOTEBOOK Use the app simply to keep brew notes, or build a calibration history. Save beans and equipment, dose, beverage weight, time, temperature, tasting scores, free-text notes and flavor tags with intensity. Review past brews and recent adjustments; share records or reference recipes and keep local backups. Imported recipes remain references, not measured results. FREE AND PRO Free lets you use one grinder, chosen from the catalog or created manually, two bean profiles, and your latest 20 visible records. It includes espresso and pour-over, the standard double espresso basket, basic text sharing, and export of all your data. Pro adds more grinders, all supported brew methods, advanced baskets and parameters, full history, advanced sharing, and complete backup import and restoration. Existing records remain stored and exportable when Pro access ends. The core recommendation logic is the same for identical available inputs. Core recording and recommendations work locally without an app account. Apple handles Pro purchases and subscriptions; current prices appear in the app. Suggestions need validation in your next brew. Sparse or conflicting history can require more observations; there is no promised accuracy or fixed number of cups.
