tidytab is the split bill app that works for everyone at the table. Snap a photo of the receipt and share one link to the group chat. Friends open it on any phone, iPhone or Android, claim what they had, and pay you back in the app they already use: Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, Zelle, or a bank transfer. No fees, no ads, and nothing for your friends to install. HOW TIDYTAB WORKS 1. Snap the receipt. tidytab reads every item, the tax, the tip, and any discount or service charge, even on long, faded, or crumpled receipts. 2. Share one link. Friends open it in their browser. Nobody installs anything, nobody creates an account. 3. Friends claim what they had. Shared a starter? Claim half of it. Tax and tip are split fairly, in proportion to what each person actually ordered, so nobody quietly subsidizes the lobster. 4. Everyone pays in a couple of taps. Venmo and PayPal open with the amount already filled in, and Cash App does too once it is installed. Zelle and bank transfers have no payment link, so tidytab shows the recipient and the amount to copy. Either way, the bill checks people off as they confirm. You watch it happen live. Every claim and every payment appears on the bill in real time, for everyone looking at it, and when the last share arrives the bill settles itself. KEY FEATURES - Receipt scanning that reads items, tax, and tip - Friends pay from a link on any phone, with no installs or sign-ups - Claim items, split evenly, or enter any amount - Fair tax and tip allocation, discounts and service charges included - Cover a friend's share when you are treating - Group tabs with running balances and one-tap settle up - Live progress that updates for everyone at the table - Optional alerts when someone chips in - Eight currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, CAD, AUD, JPY, and CNY - Light and dark appearance RUN A TAB WITH YOUR PEOPLE Groups keep a running balance across dinners, trips, and rounds. Add an expense in five seconds, split now, and settle whenever, the way friends actually do it. When it is time to square up, tidytab works out the fewest payments that get everyone back to zero, so six people settle with two or three transfers instead of fifteen. SPLIT ANY WAY YOU LIKE Every table is different, so tidytab does not force one style. Let friends claim their own dishes from the scanned receipt, split the whole bill evenly, or let each person enter exactly what they owe. Big groups, non-drinkers, birthday guests, and one friend covering another are all a couple of taps, not a calculator session. PERFECT FOR - Dinners out and birthday tables - Roommates and household expenses - Group trips and weekends away - Happy hours and rounds - Anyone who is always the one who puts down the card WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE TIDYTAB Most split bill apps make every single person download the app and create an account before they can pay you back a dollar. tidytab only asks the host to have the app; everyone else just taps a link. That one difference is why tidytab bills get settled the same night instead of after three reminders. And tidytab never touches your money. Payments happen directly between friends, inside the payment apps you already trust. tidytab reads the receipt, does the math, opens the right app or hands over the right details to copy, and keeps score. No wallet, no processing, no fees, ever. PRIVACY THAT RESPECTS THE TABLE No ads and no data selling. Receipts and bills are visible only to the people you share them with. You can delete your account any time, in the app or on the website, and shared bills stay intact for your friends with your name removed. Split the bill, keep the friends.
