Most fitness apps are filing cabinets. You put the data in, and it sits there. Bright Miles has a coach in it. His name is Miles, and he can see everything — your runs, your lifts, what you ate, your weight, your steps, your sleep, your resting heart rate. Not one slice of it. All of it, in one place, which is the thing no other app can do. TALK TO HIM AND IT IS LOGGED Say "two eggs and toast and a coffee" and it is on your plate, with the calories looked up rather than guessed. Say "benched 185 for 5, 5 and 4" and it is in your strength log with your estimated 1RM. Say "starting my fast" and the timer runs. No searching, no tapping through five screens, no giving up in week two. HE KNOWS IF YOU SLEPT Miles reads your sleep, resting heart rate and HRV against your own baseline, not a chart for the average person. Six hours and a heart rate five beats above your normal, and he will tell you today is a walk. That is the whole point of a coach, and it is what a tracker cannot do. HE HOLDS YOU TO A PLAN Agree a plan with a real number in it and he writes it down. Ask how you are doing and he answers target by target, from what you actually did. He will tell you when you missed, plainly, without shame, and give you one thing to change. AND HE SPEAKS FIRST On a Sunday he sends you your week: what you did, one pattern he noticed connecting two things you would not have joined up yourself, and one specific thing for the week ahead. Every number in it is real or he does not send it. EVERYTHING ELSE IS IN HERE TOO • GPS runs, walks and rides, with splits, elevation and your route • A full strength log with personal bests and muscle recovery • Food logging with a barcode scanner, photo scan and USDA data • Intermittent fasting, with your real eating window • Apple Health and an Apple Watch app • Walk-and-talk: invite a friend, one shared session, one audio room • Good news, a community, and people who are glad you showed up PRIVACY Your health data is never sold, never shared, and never used for advertising. Your journal stays on your device unless you choose to back it up. Deleting your account deletes everything, everywhere. No ad network, no analytics SDK, no tracking. BRIGHT MILES SUBSCRIPTION Miles is included free, with a daily allowance. Subscribe for a much larger one, his real voice, and everything else in the app. Built by one person who wanted a fitness app that actually knew him.

Period Tracker is a calm, privacy-first way to track your menstrual cycle. Everything stays on your device — no account, no cloud, no sharing, ever. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your data never leaves your phone. There's no sign-up, no server, and no tracking. Everything you log is stored locally, and deleting the app deletes all of it. Period Tracker contains no analytics, no ads, and no third-party trackers. ONE TAP A DAY Log your flow, mood, and symptoms in seconds. Periods are figured out for you from the days you log — no need to mark start and end dates manually. The app learns your pattern over time. SMART, GENTLE PREDICTIONS See your predicted next period, fertile window, and ovulation day, plus a confidence range that adjusts as you log more. A cycle ring on the Today screen shows where you are in your cycle at a glance. These are educational estimates, not medical advice. STAY IN THE LOOP Optional local reminders — scheduled entirely on your device — can alert you before your period, on period day, at the start of your fertile window, and on ovulation day. You choose the time and how many days ahead. EVERYTHING IN ONE PLACE • Today — your cycle ring and a timeline of what's coming up • Calendar — a clean month view with your logged days and predictions • History — a reverse-chronological journal of your days, filterable by flow, mood, and symptoms • Insights — averages, trends, and a "count as period" toggle to fine-tune predictions NO ACCOUNTS, NO CLOUD, NO WORRY Period Tracker works completely offline. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing that can be leaked or sold, because nothing ever leaves your device. Note: Period Tracker provides educational estimates only and is not a medical device or a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a healthcare professional for health decisions. Requires iOS 17 or later. Works on iPhone and iPad.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: BubuTracker at none against Bright Miles's 3. Bright Miles's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks) and device support (4 vs 2). On price and ads there is nothing between them.
