Record live in church, summarize a YouTube sermon, or scan a printed page. Vessel does the rest. CAPTURE EVERY SERMON Record sermons directly in the app while jotting your own thoughts as you listen. No more scrambling to remember what the pastor said by Tuesday. SUMMARIZE ANY SERMON, ANYWHERE Paste a YouTube link and get a structured, AI-generated summary in seconds — perfect for sermons you missed or want to revisit. SCAN & STUDY SCRIPTURE INSTANTLY Point your camera at a printed Bible page and Vessel opens the exact passage for you — no flipping, no searching. UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU'RE READING Tap any verse to see the context and meaning behind it — the history, the audience, the intent — so you're not just reading Scripture, you're understanding it. FROM SERMON TO STRUCTURED NOTES Vessel organizes every sermon and study session into key themes, takeaways, and scripture references — so your notes are actually usable, not just a wall of text. Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Vessel at 4.4 against Midvash's 1.0. Vessel also leads on ratings volume (54 vs 1) and chart position (#67 vs unranked). Midvash's advantage is review sentiment (86% vs 47%) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Midvash sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Vessel sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Vessel holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vessel has 54 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Midvash's written reviews are positive against 47% of Vessel's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Midvash ships an update every 6 days, Vessel weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
