Listen to two notes, tell them apart, and find them on the keyboard. J.Sugar Ear Training is an ear-training app where you listen to two notes and identify them using a piano keyboard. Start with Trial Play and try the actual note-identification training as many times as you like for free. Absolute pitch is the ability to identify a single note without a reference tone, while relative pitch is the ability to recognize pitch relationships between notes. In this app, you train relative pitch by listening to two notes and answering directly on the keyboard. By turning off the BGM, you can reduce the clues provided by accompaniment and focus more directly on the notes themselves, making the app useful for absolute-pitch training as well. ■ Try it free Even before unlocking any fixed notes, Trial Play lets you experience the actual keyboard-based training for free as many times as you like. Trial Play gives you 30 seconds of practice with fixed note C, Level 1, white keys only, and a C3–C4 range. Your score is displayed, but Trial Play does not award coins, save results, or count toward unlock progress. ■ Unlock fixed notes and progress step by step In normal play, you begin by practicing with the second note fixed to a specific pitch. A fixed note is a reference note that keeps the second note the same in every question. Starting with a fixed note makes it easier to understand the relationship between the two notes. You can select fixed notes directly in the unlock dialog and see the required number of coins and purchase price before unlocking them. Use coins to unlock fixed notes one by one. You can also earn coins based on your score in normal play. Once all 12 notes are unlocked, you can practice with no fixed note. In this mode, the second note is also randomized, allowing you to take on more challenging listening exercises. ■ Practice with settings that suit you ・Set the keyboard range freely and choose the pitch range you want to practice ・Choose white keys only, black keys only, or both white and black keys ・Select a difficulty level from 1 to 6 ・Fix the interval between the two notes for focused practice ・Set a fixed note and practice using a specific pitch as your reference ・Use the Carry Over feature to continue from your previous level By combining different settings, you can focus on weak pitch ranges or conditions, or increase the difficulty of areas you are already comfortable with. ■ Track your results and identify strengths and weaknesses Your results from normal play are recorded and analyzed so you can see where you are strong and where you need more practice. With Review Premium, you can use weakness rankings, recommended review sessions, and performance breakdown analysis. You can also compare your own incorrect answers with the correct answers in both the current game’s mistake list and your review history, helping you practice weak areas more efficiently. Whether you want to improve your ability to distinguish pitches, add ear training to your instrument or vocal practice, or develop your musical skills, you can train at a level and pace that match your goals.

About

Doremia

Doremia is an ear training app that helps you develop relative pitch by listening to piano notes and identifying them as Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, and Ti. Practice through structured lessons based on a musical key, and gradually improve your ability to recognize the role of each note within that key. Unlike absolute pitch, which is typically developed at a very young age, relative pitch can be trained and improved at any age. Doremia is designed for anyone who wants to strengthen their listening skills and deepen their understanding of music. Doremia focuses on hearing notes as functions within a key rather than as fixed note names. For example, in C major, C is "Do." In D major, D becomes "Do." By training with movable Do, you learn to recognize how notes relate to each other and where they fit within a musical context. How It Works 1. Choose a lesson or create your own 2. Listen to the tonic note or cadence to establish the key 3. Listen to the note sequence 4. Answer using the on-screen piano keyboard 5. Review your results and track your progress Each question is graded individually, allowing you to immediately identify mistakes and focus on the scale degrees that need more practice. Main Features ■ Custom Lessons Create lessons tailored to your goals. • Select musical keys • Choose tonic note, cadence, or no reference tone • Set the number of notes per question • Set the number of questions • Adjust note duration • Select which scale degrees to include • Choose pitch ranges (such as C4–C5 or C5–C6) • Enable or disable velocity variation • Edit, duplicate, and delete lessons ■ Ear Training Exercises Listen to note sequences and answer using the piano keyboard. Movable Do labels are displayed on the keys, helping you focus on scale degrees rather than fixed note names. You can undo your last answer, clear all answers, and replay questions as often as needed. Replay options include both the reference tones and the question notes, or just the question notes alone. ■ Listening Mode Improve your ears even when you don't want to answer questions. • Major and minor scales • Interval exercises from 3rds to octaves • Ascending, descending, and round-trip patterns • Tempo adjustment • Key selection Perfect for warming up before practice sessions or training your ears while on the go. ■ Keyboard Use the built-in keyboard to freely explore notes and scale degrees. ■ Progress Tracking All practice data is stored locally on your device. • Accuracy by lesson • Accuracy by scale degree • Weekly, monthly, and lifetime statistics • Session history Track your strengths and weaknesses. Who Is This App For? • Musicians who want to develop relative pitch • Singers practicing movable Do • Students studying solfège and dictation • Instrumentalists who want stronger listening skills • Anyone interested in ear training • People who want to improve karaoke pitch accuracy • Musicians working on transcription and ear-based learning • Busy learners looking for short daily practice sessions Why Doremia? ■ Practice at Your Own Level Customize lesson difficulty by adjusting keys, note ranges, scale degrees, and more. ■ Focus on Movable Do Train your ears to recognize note functions within a key rather than memorizing fixed note names. ■ Natural Piano Sound Doremia uses SoundFont piano samples for a clear and realistic listening experience. Optional velocity variation adds subtle dynamic differences, creating a more natural musical environment. ■ Works Offline Lessons, listening exercises, and progress tracking all work entirely on your device. No account required. Spend a few minutes each day training your ears and discover the power of relative pitch.
