Fling vs NotiKeep

Introducing a minimalist quick capture notes app. A thought arrives. You swipe up. It's saved — in your iCloud folder as a Markdown file (.md). No notebooks to pick. No inbox to clear later. You open it, type or speak, flick the words up, and you're back to your life before the thought even cools. Fling is a quick capture app for minimalists: — One full-screen editor. No toolbar, no menus. — Built for speed. Fast open perfect for Action Button duties. — Exports Markdown (.md files). Great for AI power users. With Fling, you can finally stop texting yourself personal notes. A message was deleted or edited? Text that already arrived and was saved stays on your iPhone. NotiKeep lets you read notification text without opening the source app. DELETED AND EDITED MESSAGES Keep text from before a message was deleted or changed. If an edit creates another notification, it can be saved as a separate entry. Edited and deleted labels are manual; the original saved text is preserved. READ WITHOUT OPENING THE CONVERSATION Browse your saved notifications in NotiKeep without opening the messaging app or sending a read receipt through it. YOUR LATEST MESSAGE, ONE TAP AWAY — PRO Show Latest Notification brings back your latest saved message in a NotiKeep notification. Add its separate shortcut from Settings, then use the Action Button, Back Tap or Siri. Shaking the iPhone while NotiKeep is open also opens the latest conversation with Pro. FIND WHAT YOU NEED Organize by app and conversation and search words without worrying about accents. Pro adds favorites, a calendar and advanced filters by app, conversation and date. PRIVATE CONTENT, ON YOUR IPHONE Notification contents stay on your device. No account and no ads. Turn on Face ID or passcode protection, choose how long to keep your history and ignore conversations you do not want to save. Optional usage analytics never includes messages, names or search terms. FREE AND PRO Free lets you read one source app with no time limit. Other apps can still be captured, but their contents stay locked. Pro unlocks all apps, the latest notification shortcut, favorites, advanced filters and CSV/PDF export while subscribed. JSON export is free. Monthly and annual plans include a seven-day trial for eligible Apple accounts. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled in iPhone Settings at least 24 hours before renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase or when the free trial ends, if applicable. SETUP AND LIMITS Requires iOS 27 or later and a personal automation in Shortcuts. The tutorial helps you add the capture shortcut and enable its automation. Only notification text received after setup can be saved. NotiKeep cannot recover old messages or archive photos, videos or audio. It does not automatically detect edits or deletions. Hidden previews and conversations that do not generate notifications may not provide text.
