My fellow actor, I've been in this business for over 20 years, so in many ways, this is my life's work. Subtext is here for every inch of our job. Break down the sides. Learn your lines, and your songs. Tape it with a real reader. Cut it and send casting one link. When you book it, go deep: ask the script anything, hear it like a table read, carry your notes to set or stage, and keep a journal of the whole year. I built what I always wished I had and now it's yours. Break a leg, Ali Momen Actor and maker of Subtext GET THE AUDITION IN Import your sides as a PDF, scan printed pages, pick photos, or share them straight from Mail. Give Subtext its own address and casting emails arrive with the role, the due date, the breakdown and the NDA already pulled out. When a new draft lands, Subtext shows which of your lines changed. KNOW THE SCRIPT Subtext reads your script and finds the characters, the scenes and the beats. Get a synopsis, then ask the script anything: what a line means, what led here, what the scene is really about. Mark up the page with a pencil: highlight, underline, circle the turn. LEARN YOUR LINES Run lines hands-free with an AI scene partner that listens and answers when you finish. Pick a voice for every character by casting type. Paraphrase or strict, your call. Hide your lines, or show only the first letter of each word. Cut in over your reader and they trail off, like a person would. Stuck? Say "Subtext, line?" and you'll hear the next three words. Then drill with Cue Cards. Hear the cue, say your line, and watch it fill in word by word. Misses come back round, clean streaks add up, and each deck ends with how much of your part is by heart. READ WITH A REAL PERSON Send a friend a link. They record the other lines in their browser, no app and no account, and their voice plays when you rehearse and tape. Or read live together on video, with the script moving as you both speak. No one free tonight? Record the other lines in your own voice. TAPE IT A self-tape studio with a teleprompter that scrolls your lines while you film. Use two devices with the Rig: one films, the other holds your lines, plays your reader and rolls and cuts. Mark your print, trim, add your slate, clean up the audio, and export it named the way casting asks. Share one link casting can watch in any browser, plus the signed NDAs, yours and your reader's. MUSICAL MODE Add your score beside your book. Every song cue in the script becomes a link to that number in the score. On iPad, they sit side by side and turn pages together. Mark up the score like you would in rehearsal: circle the cutoff, pencil in a breath, highlight your line. Magnify the tight spots. VOICEOVER BOOTH Record VO with the script scrolling in front of you. Studio Sound makes it cleaner and fuller. Export an MP3, or separate files for every take. OWN THE ROLE Drop notes anywhere on the page and keep them in your Notebook. Hear the whole script as a table read. On iPad, Stage Mode turns it into your script: hold to read, turn pages with your thumb. YOUR JOURNAL Every tape you send lands in your Journal with the date and the part. Log rooms, callbacks and coaching by hand, and mark what came of each. Search by project, role or casting office, so when an office calls you back you know what they asked for last time. And keep the work in between: a line that stuck, a note from class, a picture of the coat that's exactly the character. It counts how many times you went out. It will never show you a percentage. YOUR WORK STAYS YOURS Your scripts never train an AI model, and neither does your voice. No AI voice ever goes on your tape: a tape is a performance, and your reader is a real person. FREE TO START Your first two scripts are free. Go unlimited with a Subtext membership, monthly or annual, with a free trial. Members sync scripts, notes and progress across devices with their own iCloud. Terms: https://getsubtext.co/terms Privacy: https://getsubtext.co/privacy

Getting off book is the hardest part of the job. It usually happens in the living room: your script in one hand, the other covering your lines. That's how I memorized for years, and it never came easily. I would read the other lines and recite mine, never really listening. The words didn't stick because I wasn't thinking the thoughts. With Line Run, you hear the scene instead of reading it. It speaks the line before yours and listens while you respond, so you hear your cue and think your way into the reply. You're thinking the thoughts and connecting the dots, and this time the words stick. RECORD IT, OR IMPORT IT Record the other characters yourself, once. It's the more lifelike way: your own pacing, your own pauses, each part pitched up or down so they sound like different people. Or let Line Run Pro do the work. Import your script and every other part gets a natural-sounding voice, made right on your phone. One is more lifelike, the other is less effort. Either way, it sounds like a cast running the scene with you. BUILT FOR ACTORS, BY AN ACTOR Hi, I'm Kelly. I've been in this industry for over 25 years, and memorizing is still a challenge. I built Line Run so that we can get off book sooner, with confidence, and rehearsal can be about the acting. SIMPLE TO START, DEEP WHEN YOU WANT IT If you can press play, you can use Line Run. Open a scene and start talking. If you go blank, say "Line, please" and it prompts you. When you want more, it's all there: loop a tricky section, fine-tune the line text, mark it up with notes about motivation, hide the lines to suit your learning style. PRIVATE BY DESIGN There is no account and nothing to sign up for. There are no ads and your data will never be sold to anyone. Your recordings stay on your phone, and the generated voices are made there too, not in a data centre. FREE FOREVER Line Run is free forever, and it's a complete tool, not a trial. It has everything you need for an audition or a less demanding role: one script of up to three scenes, recorded in your own voice, with every way to rehearse. LINE RUN PRO Unlock everything in the app: • Import your scripts, even scanned pages or sides • Natural-sounding voices for every other character, generated automatically • Unlimited scripts and scenes I know how tough it is out there for actors to make ends meet, so I've priced this low to cover costs, not to profit. An annual subscription, with a free trial to start. Cancel anytime. Generated voices need a one-time download of about 330 MB. On iPhone 11 and earlier, and the 2nd-generation iPhone SE, Line Run uses the phone's built-in voices instead. Questions or ideas? Write to me at hello@linerunapp.com. Proudly made in Canada.
