https://youtu.be/pwx72zQD0p8 Morphix - Morphing Wavetable Synthesizer Morphix is a polyphonic morphing wavetable synth and a faithful reconstruction of the lost 2005 FSR Morphite. Its architecture, parameters, and complete 64-patch factory bank were reverse-engineered from the original and rebuilt from scratch with JUCE — now a modern, multi-platform instrument themed after Aleph Void. A morphing oscillator feeds a state-variable filter, an amp VCA, and a stereo flanger, shaped by independent amplitude and filter ADSRs and a tempo-synced LFO. Sweep the morph parameter for evolving, animated textures — from glassy pads to gritty leads — all wrapped in a clean, dark Aleph Void interface. Features • Morphing wavetable oscillator into a state-variable filter (cutoff / resonance / env / keytrack) • Independent amplitude and filter ADSR envelopes • Tempo-syncable LFO routable to morph and cutoff • Built-in stereo flanger • Full pitch section with bipolar tune / fine • 64 factory presets recovered from the original synth • Import / Export your own .vstpreset patches • Branded Aleph Void UI — void palette, violet accent, JetBrains Mono type • AUv3 plug-in for use in GarageBand, AUM, Logic, and other AUv3 hosts Plays in your favorite DAW or stands alone. Built by Aleph Void. https://morphix.alephvoid.com

Four analog-style compressors in one AUv3 plugin: FET, VCA, Optical and Vari-Mu. Each is its own DSP engine with its own sound, and the whole interface — face, knobs, meters — changes to match the one you pick. New in 1.1: tap ? for a quick start and a guide to each model, and watch the live transfer curve on VCA. FET Fast gain reduction from a feedback detector, with an all-buttons mode. Hi-hats, drum buses, spiky guitars. Ice-blue face. VCA Bus glue with program-dependent AUTO release. Tames transients and spikes without grabbing. Crimson face. Optical Smooth, level-dependent release from a modelled photocell — the cell's light memory. Vocals, brass, strings. Electroluminescent-green face. Vari-Mu A ratio that rises with level, plus harmonic colour that thickens thin tracks. Mix bus and mastering. Brass face. Four separate DSP paths Each model is its own compressor engine rather than a preset over one circuit: feedback FET, two-stage VCA, photocell release, rising-ratio tube. Switch faceplates mid-session and the plugin animates to the new model's look. Complement it Stereo link (Linked or Dual Mono), sidechain high-pass, dry/wet mix, input/output and auto make-up gain, a gain-reduction meter styled for each model and 17 presets. Real-time-safe DSP, 0-sample latency by default. Works in GarageBand, AUM, Cubasis, Loopy Pro and other AUv3 hosts on iPhone and iPad.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: 4Comp at 5.0 against Morphix Synthesizer's 3.4. Morphix Synthesizer's advantage is price ($1.99 vs $4.99) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Morphix Synthesizer costs $1.99 and 4Comp $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
4Comp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Morphix Synthesizer has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Morphix Synthesizer ships an update every 2 weeks, 4Comp weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
