Morseon turns your iPhone into a complete Morse code toolkit for sending, decoding, learning, and practicing Morse code. Whether you’re curious about Morse code, learning it for the first time, practicing your skills, or simply need a practical Morse utility, Morseon brings the essential tools together in one place. SEND MORSE CODE YOUR WAY Type any message and instantly convert it into Morse code. Morseon can transmit your message using the capabilities already built into your iPhone: β€’ Flash β€” send Morse code with the rear flashlight β€’ Screen β€” use bright on-screen light signals β€’ Sound β€” transmit dots and dashes as audible tones β€’ Vibration β€” feel the rhythm of Morse code directly β€’ Text β€” view the complete Morse representation of your message Adjust the transmission settings to match different situations and practice at your own pace. DECODE MORSE FROM LIGHT Point your camera toward a blinking Morse signal and let Morseon analyze the light pattern. The decoder detects changes between light and darkness, interprets dots and dashes, and converts the detected Morse sequence into readable text. It is a simple way to experiment with real-world optical Morse signals without manually writing down every dot and dash. DECODE MORSE FROM SOUND Morseon can now listen for Morse code tones through your microphone and decode them in real time. The audio decoder is designed to identify Morse signals while reducing interference from ordinary speech, music, and background noise. It supports common Morse tone frequencies and multiple transmission speeds, making it useful for experiments, practice sessions, recordings, radios, speakers, and other audible Morse sources. Watch the signal waveform, signal strength, detected frequency, and decoding status while Morseon works. LEARN MORSE CODE Morseon is not only a decoder β€” it can also help you learn the language behind the signals. Explore letters, numbers, and Morse symbols and become familiar with the relationship between characters, dots, and dashes. Listen to each code, observe its rhythm, and build recognition gradually. PRACTICE AND TEST YOURSELF Knowing the Morse alphabet is only the beginning. Use interactive exercises to strengthen your ability to recognize and understand Morse code. Practice repeatedly and improve your speed at your own pace. Whether you’re starting from zero or refreshing skills you learned before, Morseon gives you a convenient place to practice anywhere. A TOOL FOR CURIOSITY, LEARNING, AND REAL-WORLD USE Morse code has existed for generations, but it remains fascinating because it can be transmitted using something as simple as light or sound. Morseon lets you explore that idea using the hardware already in your pocket. Use it to: β€’ Learn the Morse alphabet β€’ Practice recognizing dots and dashes β€’ Convert text into Morse code β€’ Send messages with light β€’ Send messages with sound β€’ Decode flashing signals with the camera β€’ Decode audible Morse tones with the microphone β€’ Experiment with different speeds and signals β€’ Demonstrate Morse code to friends β€’ Explore one of the most iconic communication systems ever created SOS AND SIGNALING Quickly access recognizable Morse patterns such as SOS and transmit them using light or sound. Morseon can be a useful signaling companion, but it should not be considered a replacement for emergency services, dedicated emergency equipment, or professional communication devices. BUILT FOR IPHONE Morseon takes advantage of the camera, flashlight, microphone, speaker, screen, and haptic capabilities of your iPhone to turn a classic communication system into an interactive modern experience. No complicated equipment is required. From your first β€œβ€¦ β€” …” to real-time light and audio decoding, Morseon gives you the tools to explore Morse code in one place. Send it. Hear it. See it. Decode it. Learn it. Discover Morse code with Morseon.

MorseScope

Decode Morse from sound or flashing light. MorseScope is an offline Morse toolkit for iPhone and iPad. Turn audio, light, and written dots and dashes into text, then build your receiving and sending skills. AUDIO AND WRITTEN MORSE β€’ Decode live microphone audio with automatic carrier and timing estimates, key state, speed, level, and confidence. β€’ Import WAV, MP3, M4A, or AAC; try the built-in sample or translate written Morse. β€’ Play recordings with time-aligned text. Inspect each character's original Morse, confidence, and time; jump to uncertain characters, correct a position, or restore the original. β€’ Decoder Pro adds 1–8Γ— synchronized spectrograms, carrier focus, timing-supported alternatives, carrier tuning, WPM lock, sensitivity, and filtering. Review the bounded ten-second live waterfall after listening stops. β€’ Keep audio-decoding results in the local Session Library. Source audio and graph data are not saved there. Light-decoding results stay in memory only. LIGHT DECODER Point the rear camera at one flashing screen or flashlight. Move the generous target by touch or accessible controls, allow the signal to calibrate, and follow live Morse and text. Copy the result when finished. Start at 5–7 WPM with a steady phone and a clear source. Lighting, distance, movement, display flicker, and camera timing affect reception. This is for learning and short messages, not emergencies. Camera permission is requested only on Start Camera; no images or video are saved or uploaded. ENCODE AND SEND Turn text into International Morse, play or copy it, and export WAV/M4A audio. Send visible Morse through Screen Flash or the rear Flashlight at up to 7 WPM, without a 60-second cutoff. Haptic output supports transmissions up to 60 seconds. Stop visible output if it causes discomfort. PRACTICE AT YOUR PACE Learn with beginner lessons, Koch character groups, Farnsworth spacing, daily drills, and saved progress. Build custom receive drills and WPM ladders. Practice callsigns, prosigns, Q-codes, QSO exchanges, and sending rhythm with an adaptive CW key. FREE AND PREMIUM Free includes text conversion, beginner and Koch learning, daily practice, selected-character drills, the Send key, Callsigns, and character correction/restore. Free audio playback supports 60 seconds per transmission. Microphone and light decoding allow 30 seconds per session after the first signal lock; later signal loss does not pause that allowance. Free imported files may be up to 30 seconds. Start another free live session whenever you wish. Premium unlocks longer audio playback and decoding, light decoding without a session time limit, WAV/M4A export, Decoder Pro, the complete Session Library, advanced coaching and history, Guided Sending, signal conditions, saved custom presets, and WPM ladders. Choose a weekly auto-renewing subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Both unlock the same Premium features; current localized prices appear in the app. PRACTICAL LIMITS Use a clear 300–2,000 Hz audio carrier. Imports support common uncompressed mono/stereo PCM WAV, MP3, and unprotected AAC in M4A or ADTS; protected audio and ALAC are unsupported. Imported files are limited to 10 minutes/128 MB; audio playback and export to 8 minutes. Camera capture runs in the foreground and stops for interruptions, frame stalls, or excessive heat, including with Premium. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Core processing stays on your device. No account, ads, tracking, or analytics. Microphone samples stay in bounded memory and are discarded on Stop. Network access is used for App Store purchases and subscription management. Verdict

The call

Morseon and MorseScope are too close to call on the numbers: across 6 compared parameters β€” price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases among them β€” neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
