Flighter keeps your boarding passes, live flight information, airport details, and personal travel history organized in one place. Import a boarding pass by scanning its barcode, choosing a photo or screenshot, opening a PDF, or using the Share Extension. You can also add flights manually to your personal flight journal. Follow a flight even without a boarding pass: enter its number and departure date to see it on your Home screen and receive notifications about changes. Share a flight from a valid boarding pass with friends and family. They can open your link in Flighter and follow the flight without Premium. Your boarding pass and passenger details are not shared. Flighter features: • Boarding pass storage and quick presentation. • Boarding pass import using the camera, photos, PDFs, and the Share Extension. • Flight tracking by flight number and departure date, without a boarding pass. • Flight sharing through links that open in Flighter. • Flight details including route, date, departure time, seat, terminal, gate, and baggage belt, when available. • Notifications about important flight changes. • Live Activities for active flights with a boarding pass available for presentation, on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. • Airport information, weather, and local time. • Airport delay and cancellation information. • Aircraft information when available. • Personal flight history, route maps, and travel statistics. • iCloud synchronization of your flight history. • Flighter history import and export. Tracked flights remain separate from your personal flight history and do not create Live Activities. After the trial period, adding flights for tracking yourself, sharing flights, and certain other features require Flighter Premium. Flights received through a shared link can be tracked without Premium. The availability and timing of flight, airport, weather, aircraft, terminal, gate, and baggage information depend on airlines, airports, and external data providers. Flighter is not an official app of any airline, airport, or aviation data provider. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

Flight delayed by three hours or more, cancelled at short notice, or were you bumped from an overbooked flight? Under European rules (Regulation (EC) No 261/2004) the airline may owe you €250, €400 or €600 in cash — on top of any refund. Vylet tells you in seconds whether you're entitled and how much. HOW IT WORKS • Pick where you flew from and to — over 3,000 airports worldwide, works offline • Tell us what happened: delay, cancellation or denied boarding • Answer two or three quick questions — only the ones that matter for your case • See the amount right away, together with the reasoning behind it WHAT VYLET CHECKS • Whether your flight is covered: departures from the EU, EEA, Switzerland and the UK on any airline, and flights into Europe on European airlines • The amount by distance: €250 up to 1,500 km, €400 up to 3,500 km or within Europe, €600 beyond that • The three-hour threshold for delays, measured at your final destination • How much notice you got of a cancellation, and whether a replacement flight halves the amount • Extraordinary circumstances such as bad weather or air traffic control strikes — the only lawful reason for an airline to refuse • Flights from the UK under UK261, with amounts in pounds LIVE DEPARTURE BOARDS Departures and arrivals for Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger, Tromsø and six more Norwegian airports, plus Hamburg, updated every few minutes. Tap a delayed or cancelled flight to check your compensation with the route and delay already filled in, or follow it to get an alert when its status changes. PAST FLIGHTS COUNT TOO You can usually claim for flights from the past few years — the time limit depends on the country. FILE A CLAIM If you're entitled, one tap takes you to a partner claims service that deals with the airline for you. Such services usually work on a no-win, no-fee basis and share part of their commission with us — that's how checking your flight in Vylet stays free. ALSO IN VYLET Live departure boards for Russian airports, with an automatic mass-delay detector and a guide to passenger rights under Russian rules. Vylet is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. The final decision rests with the airline or a court.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Vylet at none against Flighter's 2. Vylet also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.2). Flighter's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.
