nothinpp isn't another productivity app. It's the opposite of everything that keeps you glued to the screen. The apps you use most were designed by people who studied behavioral psychology so you wouldn't put them down. nothinpp uses the same tools — friction, habit, commitment — in reverse: to help you let go of your phone. HOW IT WORKS Pick your essentials. The apps you genuinely need (calls, maps, whatever you decide) stay outside the block. Everything else goes in. Or flip it: pick only the apps that pull at you, block just those, and leave the rest of your phone untouched. Set your intention. Before you start, you write down what you want this time for. It's your reason, not a rule the app imposes on you. Focus. The rest of the phone stays blocked. If you need a break, unlocking takes real friction — it isn't instant, by design. Every opening counts against your daily time. A COMMITMENT TO YOURSELF The focus doesn't run on a timer — it lasts until you decide to stop. What you set is how much unlock time you get per day. There's no easy way out, just a transparent cost. Your streak grows for every day you hold it, and an occasional stumble is absorbed by a built-in repair rather than wiping it out. WHAT YOU WON'T FIND No ads that profit from you using your phone more. No engagement metrics. No notifications that pull you back out of habit — the opposite: we tell you when your time is up, and the block returns on its own. nothinpp exists so you use it less, not more. If it works, one day you'll open it less and less. That's the goal.

About

Nightwalk

Features

The expedition only advances while you do. Start a session and a party sets out across the dark, lit by one lantern. They walk for exactly as long as you stay out of your phone. Leave the app and they stop, and that time isn't counted. A RUN THAT LASTS MORE THAN ONE SESSION A descent spans several sessions. When a session ends the party makes camp at the depth it reached, and the next session breaks camp and walks on from there. Leaving mid-session only pauses the march; the descent ends only if you choose to abandon it, and even then 40% of its spoils come home. Choose "Return home" at camp and everything the party is carrying is banked, along with a bonus for how deep it went. NOTHING TO PLAY WITH There is nothing to play with and no choices to make during a session. The only control is a button to abandon the expedition; otherwise you are not supposed to be touching your phone — that is the entire point. The screen is built to be read in one second from across a desk. LOCKING YOUR PHONE IS NOT LEAVING Screen off and face down is the best thing you can do, so the march continues and the time still counts. Switching to another app pauses the march; only you can end a descent, by abandoning it. THE COUNTDOWN ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN While a session runs, a Live Activity shows the time remaining, a progress bar and the depth you have reached on the Lock Screen, and a small flame with the countdown in the Dynamic Island. It is there to be glanced at, not touched. FOCUSING LONGER IS NEVER WORSE Lost encounters still pay. The party cannot be wiped out. Every summary leads with the minutes you actually concentrated — even the sessions that ended badly. The expedition can fail; the focus always counts. WHAT ACCUMULATES Spoils that make it home become ember, and ember recruits and promotes your party. A deeper party walks further before it starts losing fights. Streaks, total focused time and your deepest run are kept alongside. Reminders are optional: a daily one at a time you choose, and a gentle nudge when your party is waiting at camp. Works offline. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to buy.
