Learn guitar fretboard notes, scales, chords, pentatonic positions, and the CAGED system. Then practise the same view in time. NeckPilot is a fretboard learning, practice, and jam companion for beginner and intermediate guitarists. Choose material from the built-in catalog and map it to your current instrument and tuning. LEARN THE GUITAR FRETBOARD See notes across the full neck or focus on one position. The Trainer has nine games for finding notes, building intervals and scales, and completing familiar shapes. Answer on screen, reveal the result, or play the note on your own instrument in microphone-assisted Play Mode. CONNECT PENTATONIC, CAGED, AND 3NPS POSITIONS Explore Common/CAGED, three-notes-per-string, and pentatonic positions in any available key. Move through five connected positions, compare them with the full scale, and see which chord tones already sit under your fingers. FIND THE CHORDS IN A KEY Open a major or minor key to see its harmonized chords. Theory explains intervals, scale degrees, chord construction, and related chords. Applied Guides add practice advice, reviewed fingering where available, tablature, staff notation, and accessible event views. BUILD A FRETBOARD VIEW AND PRACTISE IT Explorer Layers combines scales, chords, arpeggios, and patterns on one neck. Save the workspace and load its musical Layers into the Metronome or Drum Machine. Each Layer becomes a timed step, so the fretboard changes with the beat while you play. Pro Tempo Trainer can raise the tempo from your chosen Start BPM to Target BPM. USE KEY FINDER WHILE YOU JAM Key Finder listens to a chord passage and estimates three likely major or minor candidates. Open one in Explorer, find a familiar pentatonic or scale position, and inspect the available chords. Results are labelled Strong, Possible, or Uncertain because more than one key can fit the same music. FREE INCLUDES • Full-neck notes, scales, modes, triads, and baseline arpeggios • Common/CAGED, 3NPS, pentatonic positions, and custom scale patterns • Search, reverse lookup, harmonization, built-in progressions, and Favorites • Nine Trainer games, Reveal Mode, and microphone-assisted Play Mode • Tuner, Key Finder, Metronome, and Drum Machine • Practice Notebook and Signal themes ONE OPTIONAL PRO UNLOCK ADDS • The expanded scale, 37-chord-quality, and 20-arpeggio catalog • Custom scale and chord formulas • Explorer Layers, note comparison, Mask, and timed Layer Practice • Applied Scale, Chord, and Arpeggio Guides • Interactive Learn views and Triads by string set • Custom progressions, Progression Map, Tempo Trainer, and visual practice • 72 searchable tunings across guitar, bass, ukulele, banjo, and extended-string instruments • Custom 4-to-8-string guitar tunings that remap the neck and generate five scale or arpeggio positions • Adjustable A4 concert pitch from 415.0 to 466.2 Hz, with 432, 440, and 442 Hz presets NeckPilot Pro is one purchase with no subscription. The app has no NeckPilot account, advertising, app analytics, or tracking. The main learning and practice tools work offline. Previously verified Pro access and a complete built-in instrument catalog remain available without a connection. Microphone audio is analysed live on your device. NeckPilot does not record, save, or upload it. The app contacts the App Store when it loads, purchases, restores, or verifies Pro. On supported systems, it may also check Apple's service for a reviewed declarative instrument-catalog update. Metronome and Drum Machine playback can continue with the screen locked. Pro can be restored on supported devices using the same Apple Account. Practice data, Favorites, custom content, and settings stay local and do not sync between devices. Family Sharing is not included.

Guitar Codex is the app you reach for every time you pick up a guitar. Find a chord, run a scale, tune up, or sit down for a proper lesson. It works for total beginners and for players twenty years in. THE TOOLS Chord Finder: tap the frets on a blank fretboard and watch the chord names appear. Play a shape you can’t name and find out what it is, or build a chord note by note and see how it’s made. Note Map: every note on the neck, lit up by octave. Pick a note and see every place it lives, then open a tip and watch the octave pattern drawn right on the fretboard. Chromatic tuner with a smooth needle and presets for Standard, Drop D, Open G, DADGAD, and more. Reference pitch is adjustable from 432 to 445 Hz. Metronome with tap tempo, time signatures, and a visual beat indicator. An interactive circle of fifths: tap any key and see its seven chords, its key signature, and its relative key. THE LIBRARIES Every chord, scale, arpeggio, and triad renders on the same big, high-contrast fretboard diagram, with each note color-coded by its job in the shape: root, 3rd, 5th, and so on. You learn why a shape works, not just where your fingers go. Chords: every common type and voicing, with CAGED positions up the whole neck Scales: five boxes per scale, a full-neck view, and advice on when to use each one Triads: three string sets, three inversions each, all on one page Arpeggios: chord tones mapped across the neck for every quality THE COURSE 140 lessons in 12 modules take you from holding the guitar for the first time through chords, scales, theory, the CAGED system, progressions, modes, songwriting, technique, genre studies, and fretboard and ear mastery. Lessons teach with diagrams and real songs, and they’re written to be read with the guitar in your hands. All of Module 1 is free. Guitar Codex has no subscription and never will. The free version includes the Chord Finder, the Note Map, the full tuner, the metronome, and a real taste of everything else. Two optional one-time purchases unlock the rest: Pro, the complete reference toolkit, and Complete, which adds all 140 lessons plus every lesson added in the future. Buy it once and it is yours for good.
