About

CoinCache

Features

CoinCache is a coin album for your phone. Fifteen U.S. sets, 1,557 dates and mint marks, and a slot for every one of them β€” waiting for the coin you actually own. PUT YOUR OWN COINS IN IT This is not a catalogue of stock photography. Photograph your coins and they fill the album β€” front and back, each one framed in a circle you line up yourself. Tap a coin to flip it over. The picture in the slot is the coin in your hand, scratches and toning and all. WHAT'S IN THE ALBUM Lincoln Wheat Cents, and the Memorial and Shield cents after them. Jefferson Nickels. Roosevelt Dimes. Washington Quarters, the 50 State and Territory Quarters, America the Beautiful, American Women, and the new Semiquincentennial quarters for 2026. Kennedy Half Dollars. Morgan and Peace Dollars. American Silver and Gold Eagles. Indian Head $10 Eagles. 1878 to 2026, every date and mint mark, with the mintage for each one. KNOW WHAT YOU'RE HOLDING Every coin carries the number struck and where it sits in its own set β€” key date, semi-key, scarce or common β€” worked out from the mintages rather than asserted. Hundreds of coins carry a short note about why that year mattered: a design changed, a mint closed, a war took the copper away. Where the Mint has not yet published a figure, the app says so. It does not guess, and it does not let an incomplete 2026 running total masquerade as a rarity. RECORD WHAT MATTERS TO YOU Condition, on a scale that lets you say "not sure" β€” because most people with a jar of wheat cents genuinely don't know. What it's worth, in your own judgement, with the date you decided that. Where you found it. Anything else you want to remember. SEE THE SHAPE OF IT How far along each set is. Your collection by decade against everything struck in it. Which key dates you already have. Nineteen things worth reaching, earned by owning coins and photographing them β€” never by opening the app or keeping a streak alive. COMPARE WITH A FRIEND Send someone a snapshot of your collection and see it beside your own: what they have that you don't, set by set. That file lists only which coins you own. Never what they're worth, never your notes, never your photos. YOURS, AND ONLY YOURS No account. No sign-up. No server holding your collection. Everything lives on your device. iCloud sync, if you want it, copies your collection and your photos to your own iCloud account and nowhere else. You can export a backup file at any time and keep it wherever you like. Works with no signal at all. No ads. No tracking. Nothing is sold to anyone. TRY IT FIRST The first 25 coins are free β€” enough to catalogue a jar of change and find out whether the app suits you. Everything else is there while you do it: photographs, notes, values, sync, insights. Unlocking the rest is one purchase, once. There is no subscription, no second tier, and nothing is taken away if you never buy it. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT ISN'T There is no price guide. Coin values depend far more on grade than on date, and a number the app invented would be worth less than the one you write down yourself. There is no photo recognition and no grading service. The values in your collection are the ones you entered.
