Coin Identifier helps you identify unknown coins from a photo and understand their likely country, denomination, era, and conservative value range. Use it when you find an old coin in a drawer, sort an inherited collection, check a coin at a flea market, or want a quick first read before doing deeper numismatic research. Build your collection Save, organize, and revisit the coins you identify. โ€ข Identify a coin, then save the result with its photo, condition, value, and your own notes. โ€ข Quantity ยท Condition ยท Acquired โ€ข Purchase price ยท Estimated value ยท Notes ยท Favorite Take a camera photo or choose an image from your gallery, then review an AI-assisted match with confidence clues and a short reasoning summary. Why collectors and curious users use it โ€ข Identify coins by camera or gallery photo without searching through long catalogues first. โ€ข See likely country or region, denomination, visible year, era, mint or series when those details can be read. โ€ข Review a cautious value range that is useful for orientation, not a guaranteed appraisal. โ€ข Save successful scans in history so you can return to a coin later. โ€ข Share a coin identification result with a friend, buyer adviser, or collecting group for discussion. โ€ข Use advanced AI on premium for worn, reflective, or harder-to-read coin photos. Key features โ€ข AI-assisted coin recognition from photos. โ€ข Photo scan flow built for both obverse and reverse coin images. โ€ข Likely match details with country, denomination, year or era, and visible mint clues. โ€ข Confidence indicators that help you understand how reliable the match appears. โ€ข Short reasoning notes so the result feels explainable, not random. โ€ข Conservative market value range where enough visual evidence is available. โ€ข Scan history for coins you want to review, compare, or research later. โ€ข Easy sharing of identification results. โ€ข Optional premium and scan credit packs for heavier collecting sessions. How it works 1. Place the coin on a plain surface with good light and photograph both sides when possible. 2. Let the AI analyse text, symbols, portrait, year, edge clues, and visible wear. 3. Review the likely result, value range, confidence clues, and saved history entry. Good for Coin Identifier is made for casual collectors, new hobbyists, people checking inherited coins, travellers with unfamiliar currency, students learning about numismatics, and anyone who wants a faster starting point than manual web searches. It is also useful when you need to separate coins that deserve more research from everyday coins that only need a quick note. Free and premium use You can try the app with limited free scans. Premium unlocks unlimited or advanced scanning depending on the plan and is especially useful for collectors who scan many coins, compare repeat results, or work with worn and reflective pieces. Important value and authenticity note Results are AI-assisted estimates. The app does not provide certified grading, authentication, financial advice, or exact appraisals. It is not a marketplace and does not show live auction feeds. For selling, insurance, rare varieties, or high-value coins, use the app as a first reference and consult a qualified numismatic expert. Photo tips for better results โ€ข Use clear focus and avoid glare from shiny silver or proof surfaces. โ€ข Crop close enough that the coin fills the frame, but keep the full rim visible. โ€ข Scan both sides because many coins require reverse details for a better match. โ€ข Retry from a slightly different angle if the year, mint mark, or lettering is hidden. โ€ข Compare the confidence and reasoning notes before relying on a value range. Start with a photo, get a practical coin ID, and build a cleaner record of the coins you discover. About

CoinCache

Features

CoinCache is a coin album for your phone. Fifteen U.S. sets, 1,557 dates and mint marks, and a slot for every one of them โ€” waiting for the coin you actually own. PUT YOUR OWN COINS IN IT This is not a catalogue of stock photography. Photograph your coins and they fill the album โ€” front and back, each one framed in a circle you line up yourself. Tap a coin to flip it over. The picture in the slot is the coin in your hand, scratches and toning and all. WHAT'S IN THE ALBUM Lincoln Wheat Cents, and the Memorial and Shield cents after them. Jefferson Nickels. Roosevelt Dimes. Washington Quarters, the 50 State and Territory Quarters, America the Beautiful, American Women, and the new Semiquincentennial quarters for 2026. Kennedy Half Dollars. Morgan and Peace Dollars. American Silver and Gold Eagles. Indian Head $10 Eagles. 1878 to 2026, every date and mint mark, with the mintage for each one. KNOW WHAT YOU'RE HOLDING Every coin carries the number struck and where it sits in its own set โ€” key date, semi-key, scarce or common โ€” worked out from the mintages rather than asserted. Hundreds of coins carry a short note about why that year mattered: a design changed, a mint closed, a war took the copper away. Where the Mint has not yet published a figure, the app says so. It does not guess, and it does not let an incomplete 2026 running total masquerade as a rarity. RECORD WHAT MATTERS TO YOU Condition, on a scale that lets you say "not sure" โ€” because most people with a jar of wheat cents genuinely don't know. What it's worth, in your own judgement, with the date you decided that. Where you found it. Anything else you want to remember. SEE THE SHAPE OF IT How far along each set is. Your collection by decade against everything struck in it. Which key dates you already have. Nineteen things worth reaching, earned by owning coins and photographing them โ€” never by opening the app or keeping a streak alive. COMPARE WITH A FRIEND Send someone a snapshot of your collection and see it beside your own: what they have that you don't, set by set. That file lists only which coins you own. Never what they're worth, never your notes, never your photos. YOURS, AND ONLY YOURS No account. No sign-up. No server holding your collection. Everything lives on your device. iCloud sync, if you want it, copies your collection and your photos to your own iCloud account and nowhere else. You can export a backup file at any time and keep it wherever you like. Works with no signal at all. No ads. No tracking. Nothing is sold to anyone. TRY IT FIRST The first 25 coins are free โ€” enough to catalogue a jar of change and find out whether the app suits you. Everything else is there while you do it: photographs, notes, values, sync, insights. Unlocking the rest is one purchase, once. There is no subscription, no second tier, and nothing is taken away if you never buy it. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT ISN'T There is no price guide. Coin values depend far more on grade than on date, and a number the app invented would be worth less than the one you write down yourself. There is no photo recognition and no grading service. The values in your collection are the ones you entered.
