About

Ballast

Features

Ballast is a calm, precise tool for paced breathing. You set the rhythm and it paces you through it, with a visual pacer and haptic cues. Box breathing (4-4-4-4) and 4-7-8 come built in, and every phase is yours to change, so the pattern that works for you is always two taps away. BUILD YOUR OWN PATTERN Adjust each of the four phases independently right from the main screen. Save as many patterns as you want: a classic 4-4-4-4 box, a 4-7-8 wind-down, or anything in between. PRACTICE ON YOUR WATCH Every saved pattern syncs automatically to your Apple Watch. Start a session with a tap, then put your wrist down. Haptic pulses guide you through each phase change, so you never have to look at the screen. NO ACCOUNT. NO ADS. JUST BREATHE. There's no sign-up, no ads, and nothing that follows you around. Your heart rate and the names you give your patterns never leave your devices, full stop. Two things are yours to switch on, and both are off unless you choose them: back up your history to your own iCloud, and share anonymous usage data to help improve the app. The usage data is a handful of numbers about a finished session, never your heart rate and never your pattern names. You can turn either one off at any time, and Delete My Data undoes what was already shared. FEATURES • Fully custom phase durations for inhale, hold, exhale, hold • Unlimited saved breathing patterns • Automatic iPhone to Apple Watch sync • Haptic-only pacing on the watch, no screen required • A visual breathing pacer and session history on both devices • Pin the patterns you use most to Quick Start for one-tap breathing • Complication support, so you can start a session straight from your watch face Whether you're preparing for something stressful or just want a quiet minute, Ballast is built to get out of your way and let you breathe.
