SkyForge vs ClearCast

SkyForge makes the weather radar the whole app — a full-screen, buttery-smooth animated map is your home screen, and everything else floats cleanly on top. RADAR THAT MOVES • Smooth, motion-interpolated radar: the past two hours, then up to an hour of forecast radar where it's available • 3D storms — heavy rain rises off the map as shaded clouds that cast shadows • Live wind streams — thousands of moving particles showing direction and speed • Temperature overlay with a color-graded legend • Show precipitation, temperature and wind together • Fronts & pressure from NOAA's surface analysis • Zoom out far enough and the map becomes a spinning 3D globe, colored with NASA satellite land cover A FORECAST WITH DEPTH • 10-day forecast — tap any day to expand a plain-English brief • Interactive charts for every day: temperature, precipitation, UV, wind, humidity, visibility, and pressure — drag to pinpoint any minute • Hourly forecast, current conditions, "feels like", and high/low • Air quality (US AQI), UV index, sunrise & sunset, dew point, and more BUILT FOR WHERE YOU ARE • Automatic radar and forecast for your current location • Save cities and reorder your list with a long-press • Dark and light map themes that remember your choice SEVERE WEATHER • Live watches, warnings, and advisories from the US National Weather Service, right at the top of your screen when they matter HONEST BY DESIGN • 100% free and ad-free • No account, no sign-up, no tracking • Your location is used only to fetch weather — never stored or sold Weather data from Open-Meteo, LibreWXR, RainViewer, NOAA / National Weather Service, NASA GIBS, Iowa State Mesonet, and OpenWeatherMap.

Clearcast answers one question: what is it actually like outside right now? Most weather apps lead with a temperature and bury everything else. ClearCast puts the whole picture on one screen: temperature, air quality, UV, pollen (where available), dew point, wind and rain, and includes a plain-language verdict on whether it's worth going out. WHAT YOU GET • A verdict, not just numbers. "Extreme UV: stay in if you can." "Air quality: use caution." ClearCast says what the readings mean and why they matter, so you don't have to know what an AQI of 130 feels like. • Every important weather metric at a glance. Temperature, dew point, precipitation, wind, UV index and air quality on one screen. Each one carries an hourly chart, so you can see the shape of the day rather than just a single number. • Air quality from real sensors. Current conditions come from actual monitoring stations (WAQI, OpenAQ, AirNow and PurpleAir) wherever they exist, falling back to a model only where they don't. • Seven day forecast, hour by hour. Tap any reading to open its own screen: how it moves through today, where it peaks, and what it does for the rest of the week. • Widgets that earn their space. One reading on your Home Screen, all six on a medium or large widget, or any single reading on your Lock Screen. Each shows when its data is from, and says so plainly once it's a few hours old, instead of quietly going stale. BUILT TO STAY OUT OF THE WAY • No account. Nothing to sign up for, no email to hand over. • No ads, no tracking, no analytics. • Your location is used only to look up conditions near you, only if you allow it, and is never stored or shared. • Free, all of it. There's an in-app tip jar if you'd like to contribute, but it unlocks nothing, because there's nothing to unlock. LANGUAGES AND UNITS English, German, Spanish and French, in metric or imperial. Pick a language in the app or let it follow your phone. Weather data from Open-Meteo. ClearCast is not a substitute for medical or emergency guidance.
