Before you drill, know what's behind the wall. Stud Finder uses your phone's built-in magnetometer to detect metal hidden in your walls — the nails and screws that mark a stud's edge, and the pipes, rebar and conduit you want to avoid hitting. Calibrate against a clean section of wall, then sweep slowly. The live gauge rises as you approach a target and calls a hit when the signal is strong enough. TWO SCAN MODES Stud Mode — Tuned for the faint, brief signals produced by the nails and screws fastening a stud to the wall. Trace the fastener line to locate the stud edge. Metal Mode — Tuned for the strong, sustained fields of pipes, rebar, conduit and steel studs. The threshold sits high enough that a nail line won't trigger it, so you can tell a fastener from a pipe. Both modes are free. No paywall on the core detector. FEATURES • One-tap calibration against your actual wall, so readings adapt to the room • Live signal gauge with real-time strength readout in microtesla • Haptic feedback the moment a hit is detected • Save scans with a label like "Living room wall" and revisit them anytime • Keep-screen-awake option so the display won't sleep mid-sweep • Optional reminder if you haven't scanned in a while • Light and dark themes STUD FINDER PRO • Deep Scan — boosted sensitivity that surfaces faint fastener lines a standard scan can miss • Unlimited saved scans (the free version keeps your 5 most recent) HOW IT WORKS — AND WHAT IT CAN'T DO We think you should know exactly what you're buying. Your phone's magnetometer senses magnetic fields. That means it detects ferrous metal — steel nails, screws, pipes, rebar and conduit. Wood is not magnetic, so no phone can detect wood directly. Stud Finder locates studs the same way a magnetic stud finder does: by finding the metal fasteners holding them in place. This is why we describe what we find by signal strength rather than claiming to identify materials. If a reading in Stud Mode is unusually strong, the app tells you it's likely metal rather than a stud. Results depend on your device's magnetometer, wall material and depth. Detection is less reliable through thick plaster, tile, concrete or metal lath. Always verify before drilling, and never rely on any app alone when electrical wiring or plumbing may be present. PRIVACY Stud Finder is designed with your privacy in mind and does not share personal data unnecessarily. Your scans are stored on your device. Five puzzles to twist, one app — and a way out when the real one beats you. FIVE SHAPES, EVERY SIZE A cube, a pyramid, a diamond, a twelve-sided ball and a twenty-sided star — 18 puzzles in all, from 2×2 up to 5×5. (Cubers know them as Pyraminx, Skewb and Megaminx.) Every one of them turns, scrambles and solves for real, in 3D you can spin from any angle. STUCK? POINT YOUR CAMERA Scan the puzzle in your hands, face by face. SpinCube reads the colours and checks they add up. Get one wrong and you fix it with a tap — no starting over. ONE CORNER TWISTED? IT SPOTS THAT Drop it, pop a piece, or let someone twist a corner in place, and the puzzle can never come out again — no matter how well you turn it. SpinCube spots that the moment you finish the scan, instead of letting you go round in circles, and shows you in 3D which way to twist it back. Scan again to confirm the fix. No dismantling, no peeling stickers. THEN FOLLOW IT OUT, ONE MOVE AT A TIME Each step shows you which layer to turn and which way, on a puzzle you can spin while you follow. Go at your own pace, step back when you lose the thread, or sit back and watch the whole solve play out. OR LEARN TO DO IT WITHOUT US The 3×3 comes with the layer-by-layer method — the seven steps most people learn from. Eleven algorithms, each one named, so you can look them up anywhere. Every step opens by telling you what it does and which algorithms it takes; tap any one to watch it run in 3D, then practise it on a cube of your own. The cheat sheet with all eleven is free and yours to keep — the whole point is that one day you won't need the app for this at all. A TIMER WORTH USING Thumbs on both circles, wait for green, let go. The classic speedcubing start, timed to the hundredth of a second. Scan the scramble first and it is saved alongside your time, so you can come back to exactly that mix later. WATCH YOURSELF IMPROVE A personal best for every puzzle, your recent solves as a trend, and a daily streak worth keeping alive. WORKS ON A PLANE Everything runs on your iPhone. No account, no sign-up, no internet needed. Nothing you scan or play leaves your device. Terms of Use: https://tinuv.me/spincube/terms.html Privacy Policy: https://tinuv.me/spincube/privacy.html
