Read without touching the screen. MagicReader is a hands-free reader for EPUB, PDF and comics: turn your head, wave a hand, wink, or just say "next page" โ€” and the page turns. Or sit back and let a natural voice read to you. Whether your hands are busy, wet, full, or simply resting โ€” or touching the screen is difficult for you โ€” MagicReader keeps the story going. NEW: OPENS LIKE A REAL BOOK โ€ข Ready for iPhone Duo โ€” unfold it and your book becomes a two-page spread, with the spine right on the fold โ€ข Landscape reading โ€” two pages side by side on iPad and most iPhones, for EPUB, PDF and comics, including vertical Japanese books โ€ข Flip page turns โ€” pages turn over like paper and follow your finger โ€ข Split View on iPad and iPhone Duo TOUCH-FREE READING โ€ข Head control โ€” turn your head left or right to flip pages; look up to open or close a book โ€ข Wink control โ€” wink your right eye to go forward, your left to go back (Face ID devices) โ€ข Hand control โ€” a cursor follows your hand; close your hand to grab a book, swipe from the screen edge to flip โ€ข Voice control โ€” say "next", "back", "open", "read aloud" and more, in English, Japanese, Spanish, French or German โ€ข A guided tour teaches every gesture with live practice NATURAL READ-ALOUD โ€ข Natural, expressive voices read your EPUB books aloud โ€” in English and Japanese โ€ข The sentence being spoken is highlighted, and pages turn in step with the narration โ€ข English narration powered by Kokoro; Japanese voices powered by VOICEVOX (VOICEVOX:No.7, VOICEVOX:ๅ››ๅ›ฝใ‚ใŸใ‚“, VOICEVOX:้’ๅฑฑ้พๆ˜Ÿ, VOICEVOX Nemo) โ€ข Books in Spanish, French and German are read by your device's system voice for that language, with nothing to download โ€ข Natural voices are downloaded once, then work fully offline โ€” all speech is generated on your device YOUR LIBRARY, YOUR WAY โ€ข EPUB and PDF books, plus CBZ/CBR comics and manga โ€ข Beautiful animated bookshelf themes โ€” drifting watercolour clouds, a starry cosmos, and story worlds that come alive behind special books โ€ข Japanese vertical text (็ธฆๆ›ธใ) done right, with optional automatic furigana (ใตใ‚ŠใŒใช) above kanji โ€ข Comfortable reading themes, adjustable fonts (including OpenDyslexic for dyslexia-friendly reading), and remembered positions THOUSANDS OF FREE CLASSICS โ€ข Browse and download public-domain classics from Project Gutenberg and Aozora Bunko (้’็ฉบๆ–‡ๅบซ) โ€” from Alice in Wonderland to ้Š€ๆฒณ้‰„้“ใฎๅคœ โ€” right inside the app PRIVATE BY DESIGN โ€ข The camera and microphone are used only to recognize your gestures and commands, entirely on your device โ€ข Nothing is recorded, nothing is uploaded, and there are no accounts, no ads, and no tracking โ€” ever MagicReader began in 2012 as one of the first face-controlled book readers on the App Store. It has been rebuilt from the ground up for today's devices โ€” same magic, new tricks. Reading is best when nothing comes between you and the story. Not even your hands.

About

Tomelet

Features

Read the book the way it was printed. Tomelet starts from what the publisher made โ€” the fonts, spacing and images โ€” and lets you work on top of it. It is a private reader for EPUB, PDF and many more formats, with its own typesetting engine. THE PAGE COMES FIRST โ€ข Publisher fonts, styles and images are kept by default. โ€ข Change the type size and the text reflows without losing the design. โ€ข Bright, sepia, dark and black themes; margins, line spacing, alignment and hyphenation are yours to set. WRITE ON THE PAGE โ€ข Highlight, underline, add notes and bookmarks in EPUBs and in PDFs with selectable text. โ€ข Draw with Apple Pencil โ€” pressure changes the line โ€” or switch on finger drawing. โ€ข Export a book's notes as Markdown or JSON. THE FORMATS YOU OWN EPUB, PDF, MOBI, AZW3, FB2, DjVu, CBZ comics, DOCX, TXT, Markdown and HTML, plus older formats such as CHM, LIT and Palm eReader โ€” all DRM-free. Books locked with DRM are recognised and explained; Tomelet doesn't remove protection. EVERY LANGUAGE ON THE PAGE Right-to-left text such as Arabic and Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese and Korean with ruby annotations, and hyphenation come from one rendering engine. Tomelet itself speaks 28 languages. A LIBRARY THAT TIDIES ITSELF Titles, authors, series and covers come from the file and, unless you turn it off in Settings, from Open Library. Automatic tags, collections and series keep things in order, and search finds books in your library and words inside a book. FREE TO READ. PAY FOR SYNC. The free app is the whole reader, not a trial: every format and reading feature, notes, export and local backup, offline and with no account. It is supported by one ad before a book opens โ€” never while you read, and never on your first day. TOMELET SYNC Tomelet Sync keeps your books, reading positions, highlights, notes and ink in step across your iPhone, iPad and computer, removes ads, and includes 10 GB of encrypted storage. Everything is encrypted on your device before it is uploaded; our servers never hold a key that can read your library. A new device is approved from one you already trust, or with your Recovery Key. Tomelet Sync is an auto-renewable subscription, billed monthly or yearly, with a free trial for eligible new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple Account; the subscription renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period, and you can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
